2027 Rankings Update: Shooting Guard New Names

A look at some of the shooting-guard prospects in Wisconsin's class of 2027 who, for the first time, joined the <a href="https://prephoops.com/wisconsin/rankings/2027-rankings/">Prep Hoops Player Rankings for the class 2027, </a>released June 8.    New Prep Hoops Ranking: 302 Laufenberg proved his status as one of Wisconsin's better shooters while competing for the [program_tooltip program_id='2494175' first='JAG' last='Select'] squad during the spring club season. He can knock down three-point jump shots at a high rate while also playing a solid all-around game that includes playing strong defense, sharing the ball and hitting the glass. As a junior at Sparta, Laufenberg averaged 14.1 points and 4.0 rebounds while helping the Spartans to a 12-14 record. Laufenberg, an honorable mention all-league performer in the Mississippi Valley Conference, is one of three returning starters along with [player_tooltip player_id='2140932' first='James' last='Thurston'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2434289' first='Dylan' last='Ziegler'] for coach Nathan Pollnow at Sparta.     New Prep Hoops Ranking: 308 One of the better players off the bench in the North Eastern Conference as a junior, Lemke would have contended for Sixth Man of the Year had the league sponsored such an award. The strong and athletic shooting guard averaged 8.2 points for the Vikings of Denmark. Hi strong play helped Denmark to a 13-13 record. He figures to move into the starting rotation in 2026-27 alongside returning veterans [player_tooltip player_id='3019703' first='Jacob' last='Bohn'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2469012' first='Brayden' last='Jeanquart'] to give Denmark a solid nucleus to build around. Lemke finished second on the team in made three-point shots a year ago with 41.     New Prep Hoops Ranking: 311 Maciejewski figures to take on a much bigger role for Germantown in 2026-27 after coming off the bench for the Warhawks last winter. His ability to spread the floor with his stellar shooting ability from deep could be a major asset for Germantown. It has certainly helped his [program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] squad this spring on the club circuit. Macijewski has good size, can defend on the wing and can also snare rebounds and start the fast break for his team.     New Prep Hoops Ranking: 318 Striegel is a jack-of-all-trades for Port Edwards. He just affects the game in so many different ways with his length, hustle and determination. He led Port Edwards in scoring (13.4 ppg) and rebounding (5.1 rpg) as a junior on the way to receiving second-team all-Central Wisconsin South Conference recognition. Striegel is one of three returning starters for Port Edwards along with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3010061' first='Aaden' last='Domke'] (5-11) and [player_tooltip player_id='3021760' first='Izak' last='Domke'] (6-0).     New Prep Hoops Ranking: 322 A quick combo guard who is shifty enough to shed defenders and skilled enough to find the bottom of the net from deep. Ellis had a strong junior season for Milwaukee Audubon Technology as he averaged 16.7 points and 2.0 rebounds while making 56 of 127 tries from three-point range for 44 percent. That's some pretty impressive marksmanship from deep for a player who is giving away size nearly every time he steps onto the court. Ellis' strong played resulted in second-team all-conference honors in the Blue Division of the Milwaukee City Conference.
