Everything ran through Isaac Brand offensively, beginning in transition where his standout rebounding ability as a point guard was remarkable. He tracked the ball off the rim to spark fast breaks and transition scoring opportunities consistently, setting the tone early with his high-octane motor. His right-to-left hesitation crossover kept defenders on their heels, allowing him to penetrate the teeth of the defense consistently where he scored and created fouls at a high rate. His ability to process the game in real time allowed him to stay one step ahead, whether creating for himself, setting up teammates, or shifting momentum with his energy and instincts. A defensive pest, Kendrick Carroll stayed glued to his man with his nose on the ball at all times, applying relentless pressure without fouling or giving up on the play. His active hands, anticipation, and competitive motor made him a nightmare for opposing ball handlers, as he consistently disrupted rhythm and forced mistakes. There were stretches where he produced steal after steal on consecutive possessions, instantly turning defense into offense and finishing the plays with transition layups or highlight-worthy lobs.
