At Hillgrove High School Saturday, we saw some guys stand out as usual. Here is Part 2 of 2.

Eli Maye | Guard | 2027 | 6-2 | Habersham Central (pictured at top)

Results and more results were the theme of the day for Maye, who didn't show off the flash of guys like [player_tooltip player_id='2122190' first='Khalid' last='Jones'] or Braylon Robinson, but he was equally effective at the offensive end. A crafty, high-IQ approach, mixed with some sneaky athleticism, paid off as he had coaches on the endlines talking and certainly impressed me with his all-around acumen. Can handle the rock a bit, and definitely wants to pull the trigger from distance, but the aggressiveness off the bounce was what brought him to the top of the day's list.

Liam Erawoc | Guard | 2028 | 6-1 | William and Reed Academy

Guys who hit the camps from the GIAA or GAPPS programs can easily be dismissed, mostly unfairly. Erawoc's play, much like Maye's, was all about the results and less about the school of origin. He was slick with the ball, made good decisions at the offensive end, and played some solid on-ball defense. He too was on the lips of the coaches in attendance, and his good energy at both ends and solid all-around performance are something he can build on.

Landon Hernandez | Guard | 2027 | 5-11 | Sequoyah

Pure knockdown joy off the fingertips of Hernandez, and he tickled the nets often from 3-land with his quick and efficient stroke. A lot of spunk and fire, and like a lot of Sequoyah guys I've known over the years, loves to shoot it first and ask questions later. Small schools looking for a defense-stretching threat from well past the arc might want to look in on the Chiefs from Canton.

Noah Douglass | Guard | 2028 | 5-11 | Redline | Northview

Seeing more and more guys emerge from Northview after years where we didn't see much eye-catching quality from that side of Johns Creek. Douglass was noticeable, showing off both strong PG-instincts as a floor leader, but also a fine stroke from the arc. After drawing defenders out to him, he was quick on the blow-by and finished at the rim well. Has had some big performances playing with Redline this Spring, and it'll be interesting to see how he and the rest of the 2026-27 Titans do during the upcoming live period.

Jathen Combs | Guard | 2027 | 6-2 | Georgia Vipers | Cherokee Bluff

Much like [player_tooltip player_id='2125571' first='Tyson' last='Sharper'] and Braylon Robinson from Pt 1 of Saturday's Noise-Makers, Combs joins them as a top-3 guy in all-around performance. Playing both guard spots, scoring and distributing, he hustled all over the floor, showing the kind of instincts you can't teach. Didn't see much of him pop from deep range, but was a fan of the lead guard potential and strong finishing around the cup. A plus on-ball defender, which is always key, because you can make a shooter with reps, but can't make a kid 'want' to defend.
