Selected To The Fifth - Eight All State Team

These players were selected as New York all state. They found their names on teams 5 through eight. Such a big state with a vast majority of talent this is a great accomplishment.    Cameron was a first time all state selection and he appeared on the 5th team all New York State. He led Suffolk county section xi in scoring at a 26.1 clip. A super athletic guard. He was explosive getting downhill. Finishes at the rim through contact. Excellent mid range game.     Adonis will be joining his brother Darius (see our previous all state reports) and donning the jersey of the Trojans of USC. A 5th team all New York State selection. Possesses tremendous length and wing span. A bona fide rim protector with his length and timing of blocking shots. A terrific rebounder. Like his brother he is a double double nightly with the added ability to get close to a double in blocks as well.     Johnny has already committed to LaSalle for 2028. A 5th team all New York selection averaged 16.4 ppg. A combo guard who handles both spots efficiently. At the point he has good size and as a 2 guard he can score multiple ways. High basketball IQ. He has shown poise and confidence handling the ball or running the offense. Elusive handle enables him to get off his own shots. Very good with the ball in tight quarters understands how to draw defenders and create opportunities.       Christian was a 6th team all New York State selection. He averaged 18.7 ppg for the Clippers of Xaverian. Rebounds the ball really well from the guard spot. He has a great feel for the game. Handles the ball really well and creates scoring chances for himself or teammates. Makes alot of winning plays that sometimes go unnoticed. He missed a few games for Xaverian due to injury and you could see his leadership was sorely missed.     I know it's real early but I feel confident enough to make my first prediction for next years all state team, Skye will see his name on the first or second all state team next year. This year he was a 8th team all state selection. He averaged 17.2ppg in the toughest league in New York and still a monster league nationally. He does everything really smooth. A high major talent. Scores at all three levels. Excellent court vision outstanding passer. He has all the offensive weapons in his arsenal. Runs the floor gliding with speed. Chase down defender. Have seen him in multiple games chase down would be scorers and swat their layup attempt at the rim into the stands. (Pictured)
