Sunday wrapped up another strong weekend of basketball at the Prep Hoops PH LIVE event in Plainfield, and while several familiar names continued to produce, the final day also gave us a chance to evaluate a handful of players who made a major impact and boosted their stock. From breakout scoring performances to intriguing long-term upside, these prospects closed the weekend on a high note.

[player_tooltip player_id='2403274' first='Timothy' last='Sirotyuk'] – GPA 2027

Sirotyuk made a strong first impression during the second half of GPA's matchup on Sunday. The 6-foot-7 wing-forward instantly caught attention with his positional size, length, and activity around the glass. Timothy contributed with strong seals inside, soft touch around the basket, and dependable rebounding production. What makes him especially intriguing in the 2027 class is the versatility he brings to the forward spot. He moves well for his size and showed flashes of a skill set that can continue to expand over time. The physical tools and motor give him plenty of long-term upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='3587106' first='Sam' last='Briggs'] – Rockford Elite 2028

Briggs put together one of the better all-around guard performances of the day despite the loss, finishing with 25 points. The smaller point guard plays with tremendous pace and confidence in the open floor. His quickness immediately stands out, especially when attacking gaps or pushing tempo in transition. Briggs also displayed strong playmaking instincts, delivering several impressive passes on the move to cutting teammates. Defensively, he stayed aggressive and active throughout the contest. Between the shifty handle, speed, and ability to create for others, Briggs continues to establish himself as an exciting young floor general in the 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] – YnR 2029

Udoiwod exploded offensively in a dominant win over Work Foundation, pouring in 27 points while knocking down seven three-pointers. The young lead guard has a projectable frame and plays with excellent poise for his age. Jonny consistently made quick reads and sharp passes while controlling the pace of the game. His shooting ability stole the show Sunday, but his overall versatility as both a scorer and facilitator was equally impressive. He plays under control, handles pressure well, and has a smooth feel operating in the open floor. The long-term upside here is very intriguing.

Everen Akison – OPS 2028

Akison helped carry OPS offensively with his crafty scoring ability and relentless downhill pressure. The guard consistently got to the free-throw line by utilizing a tight handle, strong pace changes, and body control attacking defenders. His perimeter shooting ability only adds to the pressure he puts on defenses, making him a difficult matchup when he gets into rhythm. Akison's ability to score at all three levels stood out throughout the morning session and gave OPS a steady offensive presence.

Devaun Bates – Geek Squad 2028

Playing up with the 17U group, Bates showed he could more than hold his own on Sunday. He scored effectively both at the rim and from behind the arc while bringing noticeable energy on the defensive end. Bates' activity defensively seemed to fuel the rest of his game, and he stayed engaged on both ends throughout the contest. The 2028 prospect finished with 17 points in the victory and continued to prove he can compete against older competition.

Bleu Armour – AJam Hoops 2027

Armour showcased one of the quickest releases of the day from beyond the arc. The elite shooter consistently spaced the floor and looked comfortable getting into shots off the catch or dribble. Blue also demonstrated improved confidence handling the basketball and controlling pace offensively. Defensively, he made his presence felt as both an on-ball and off-ball disruptor. Armour connected on three triples and finished with 15 points while impacting the game in multiple areas.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964301' first='Jamir' last='Malone'] – IL Attack 2027

Malone brought toughness and physicality every possession Sunday. The strong-bodied guard consistently attacked the paint by staying low, absorbing contact, and powering through defenders off two-foot finishes. He made a living around the basket and used the glass effectively throughout the game. Malone also flashed underrated rebounding ability for a guard, helping IL Attack compete physically inside. He finished with 20 points in the loss and continued to show the value of his aggressive downhill game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382373' first='Danterion' last='Knight'] – Illinois Warriors 2028

Knight added toughness to the backcourt and helped lay the foundation for a strong weekend from [program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite']. Elusive guard had no issues keeping up the pace of the game as he embraced the physicality and contact at the rim. Knight excelled as a downhill attacker, using his strength, creativity, and relentless motor to pressure defenses throughout the game. He stayed active in the rebounding effort and impacted winning plays beyond the scoring column. His tenacity and competitive edge stood out every time he stepped on the floor. Knight finished with 20 points in the win over Team Step.

[player_tooltip player_id='2829810' first='Miles' last='Burnison'] – [program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'] 2027

Burnison used his strength and activity level to dominate smaller defenders around the basket. The stocky wing played with physicality and was constantly moving without the basketball to create scoring opportunities. Despite his strong frame, Burnison showed mobility and versatility, proving capable of contributing both inside and along the perimeter. He scored 13 first-half points before the game eventually got out of hand, but his impact and energy were evident early.

Damarion Taylor – Royalty Hoops 2028

Taylor delivered one of the top scoring performances of the day, erupting for 38 points in a morning win. The dynamic guard proved himself as a legitimate three-level scorer, knocking down perimeter shots, attacking downhill, and consistently getting to the free-throw line. Taylor's quickness off the bounce created problems for defenders all game long, while his ability to finish through contact added another layer to his offensive arsenal. Defensively, he also contributed with rebounding and strong anticipation in the passing lanes that led to easy transition opportunities. Taylor's combination of production, pace, and scoring versatility made him one of Sunday's biggest standouts.
