We had a ton of coverage over the weekend on PHI and social media from Prep Hoops Live! Now it is time to examine what we saw and the prospects that made the biggest impression. Here is Prep Hoops Live: Scotty B's 2029 Illinois Standouts!

Aidan Yazdan ([program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind)

Glenbrook North 5'7” point guard is next up in a long line of point guards at GBN. This 2029 point guard has a good feel for the game finding his teammates along with getting in creases for soft touch finishes. Plus shooter who poured in a ton of them in a 21 point outing on Sunday morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='2829539' first='Patrick' last='Tait'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind)

The St. Patrick 6'0” two guard is a shooting specialist who poured in six from beyond the arc for 20 points in the opening game of the event. Moves off the ball and knows how to relocate with great shot prep before letting it fly.

Braylon Henkel ([program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind)

Henkel is another shooting guard that goes 5'11” who has a flame thrower as well from deep knocking in four of them on Friday night. Super clean and quick release on his shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2921082' first='Titus' last='Payton'] ([program_tooltip program_id='3042869' first='Road' last='2 Greatness'])

Payton has a very high ceiling. Stayed late at Batavia on Friday specifically to see him and he lived up to the billing as one of the more intriguing post prospects in the 2029 class. Broad shouldered and lanky 6'6” post pushing 6'7”. Mobile and athletic big man that is a fluid rim runner. Can knock in a mid-range shot or a spot up three. Also handles it well for a big man being able to shot fake and get downhill. Good with putting it on the deck a couple of dribbles for finishes at the cup through contact with his long strides. Switchable defender that has a chance to be a plus player on that end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2861941' first='Dashaun' last='Franklin'] ([program_tooltip program_id='3042869' first='Road' last='2 Greatness'])

Franklin stood out as a 6'3” shooting guard from Bloom that has a bright future. Crisp pull up game and has the explosiveness to get to the rack with his burst.

Aiden Jimenez ([program_tooltip program_id='3593033' first='Brook' last='Town Force'])

Jimenez was playing all the way up on the 17U level for his squad. The Elmwood Park lefty 5'10” guard is super crafty with the rock in his hands getting to his spots. Also is an excellent shooter off movement as he poured in an array of them moving off the ball for threes. He had 22 points in win for his team.

Kingston Harris ([program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'])

Really like the upside here as the 6'5” power forward showed a lot of promise as a fluid four man who can impact on both ends of the floor. This Thornwood big man was very effective getting put backs, running the floor, and proved to be a solid passing post. Showed flashes as a rim protector. The way he moves and his athleticism make him a long term prospect to track!

Leonard Thomas ([program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'])

Thomas is a 5'11” point guard out of Simeon that is pesky on the defensive end swiping several steals taking it the other way for finishes at the rim. Offensively plays with a high basketball IQ seeing the floor and making sound decisions. Can get it rolling with the jumper when his team needs him to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='3641923' first='Reggie' last='Johnson'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'])

Richards 5'8” point guard displayed quickness off the dribble getting in the paint for sweeping layups and acrobatic conversions. Finishes well with his off hand in the paint on drives.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835803' first='Carter' last='Pohlman'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Pohlman continues to have a breakout spring as the 6'4” forward with a strong frame is a plus spot shooter that has a clean release and every time it leaves his hands you think it is going down. In the first game we saw poured in four of them. Later on in another game he showed he had some toughness taking it downhill with his strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='3581127' first='Liam' last='Wolbeck'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Wolbeck is a rangy small forward with a lanky frame. At his best when spotting up from beyond the arc for threes as he had several in the games we saw. Like the potential on the defensive end to develop as his career progresses with his length and anticipation.

[player_tooltip player_id='3577173' first='Keenan' last='Brown'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Kaneland 5'11” point guard should be a key piece for Kaneland moving forward as they look to make it another step further at the state finals next season. What he brings to the table is a high level of shot making and is a solid passer within the team scheme.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] (Y&R)

Our Steve Parham has been a huge fan of this 6'0” Wheaton Academy point guard for a while now. I got an extensive look at him Sunday and as always Steve was right. Udoiwod looked like one of the better point guards in the 2029 class as he poured in 26 points against [program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation']. Plays taller than his height with his super long arms. Plus shooter with a free and easy stroke from distance making five of them from deep. Creates off the bounce getting to his spots for jumpers, euro steps, acrobatic finishes, and turnaround jumpers. Quality passing instincts making decisions off live dribbles finding his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2394774' first='Corey' last='Griffin'] (Y&R)

Strong bodied 6'1” point guard from Fenwick who impressed with his combination of skill and toughness. Converted well through defenders in the paint as they were bouncing off him scoring on dump off passes. Good shooter hitting a pair of threes along with a nice mid-range jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='3252526' first='Jayden' last='Alford'] (Y&R)

Alford is a lefty shooting guard who is making the move to Oswego for his sophomore season. Sweet looking perimeter stroke on pull up twos or threes. Monster in transition especially playing off his defense. Very good athlete.
