Here's a closer look at some of the top point guards from Northern Virginia heading into the critical summer evaluation periods.    Asare averaged 14.3 points per game for Team Loaded South on the adidas 3SSB circuit, continuing to establish himself as one of the more productive lead guards in the state. A quick, strong, left handed floor general, he combines scoring ability with toughness and a competitive edge that consistently stands out. Asare is effective getting downhill and putting pressure on defenses, while also making smart decisions with the basketball in his hands. One of the biggest developments in his game has been the improvement of his perimeter shooting, as he has become a reliable threat from beyond the arc and forces defenders to respect him at all three levels. He plays with confidence, embraces big moments, and consistently impacts winning. In addition, Asare rebounds well from the guard position, sneaking in to secure rebounds and ignite transition opportunities.     Griffin is a skilled guard with a strong feel for the game and the versatility to impact the offense as both a scorer and facilitator. On the defensive end, he is active, instinctive, and disruptive, using his anticipation and effort level to generate turnovers and make plays.     Bell is a high scoring lead guard who earned District Player of the Year honors after a standout season for Gar-Field.
