These performances were needed.

Here are the prospects that were productive on Sunday:

[player_tooltip player_id='2624485' first='RJ' last='Tate'], [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 17U: Tate went 5 for 5 from the field in Thad's 73-69 win over Team Takeover. He took advantage of the shot opportunities that came his way in the first half when the defense focused primarily on point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2101889' first='Justin' last='Frison']. Tate scored 8 of his 14 points in the 2nd quarter when both teams were trading scores. This was his best performance of the weekend, and it came at the perfect time.

[player_tooltip player_id='2101889' first='Justin' last='Frison'], [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 17U: Frison saw double teams on the first 2 days of the session. Sunday was no different. The 6-foot-0 point guard did a solid job of finding his teammates open for good shot attempts. Thad will go as far as Frison takes them. His scoring against Team Takeover (14 points) was important, but his 11 assists were just as important. Frison moved the basketball and great shot attempts followed. Luckily, those shots from Tate, LJ Smith IV (10 points), and [player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones'] (24 points) fell. It will have to go this way for the remainder of the AAU season.

After two sessions, Frison is averaging 14.4 points, 8.1 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game.

As for Frison's recruitment, he picked up offers from UAB and Belmont on Sunday. Xavier, Creighton, Nebraska and Purdue Fort Wayne have reached out. Miami (Ohio) and Memphis, two programs that have already offered Frison, have made him a priority in the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2979284' first='Malachi' last='Hill'], Mokan 15U: Hill getting reps at the point guard spot is so important to his growth and confidence heading into his sophomore season. He led the way as the team's floor general in its 69-42 win over Pro Skills. The basketball was moving. Hill was breaking his defender down, getting into the lane, and finding his teammates. He plays with good pace and takes good shots. Hill should only get more comfortable being the team's starting point guard. Against Pro Skills, Hill finished with 7 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. He picked up an offer from Murray State on Friday. Tennessee State is one of a handful of schools that have reached out to Hill.

Kaleb Davis, [program_tooltip program_id='2078772' first='Team' last='Thad'] 17U: Davis didn't have a huge stat line, but he recorded two blocks in the 4th quarter when Team Takeover cut their double-digit deficit and got within striking distance of stealing a win. For the entire weekend, Davis has been altering shots at the rim. He's having 2.7 blocks per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran'], Brad Beal 17U: Cochran had a good weekend, helping Brad Beal Elite 17U go 3-1. He recorded a double-double in 3 of the 4 games. He picked up two offers from Northwestern and Kansas State. I expect Cochran to pick up more offers this upcoming week.
