The Hoopsource West Coast Spring Showcase took place this past weekend and we had the opportunity to drop by to watch a number of top local teams in action. While our focus was mainly on the 17U D1 division, we also caught some games at the other levels. Here's a look at some of the top performers that we saw.

One of the most dominating performances we saw on the entire weekend on Saturday, Scott pretty much did whatever he wanted on the basketball floor. He simply dominated in an Oregon Magic win as the junior forward hit threes, grabbed boards, rejected shots, ran the floor, and finished at the rim with authority.

Totally lighting up the scoreboard on Saturday afternoon at the Spring Showcase Harding. The Sandy senior guard was totally on fire from the perimeter for Identity Basketball as he simply knocked down every open look he had, pulling up from NBA range at times for dagger threes. He remains unsigned.

The best post player we saw all weekend was Larsen. Playing with Net Worth Basketball, the Centennial junior used all of his 6-foot-10 height advantage to score and rebound down low but also showed good range on his jumper by stepping outside and hitting shots at the top of the key. He ran the floor fairly well and his overall play was as confident as we've ever seen.

There was a distinct difference with the Net Worth basketball team when [player_tooltip player_id='2367062' first='Jason' last='Wu'] was on the court. The Valor Christian point guard was sorely missed in the team's first game on Saturday but when he returned, he immediately led the team to wins. The junior really pushes the ball up the floor, is fearless with his drives to the basket, and has a non stop motor on the defensive end, his overall energy infectious to the rest of his teammates.

With his length, athleticism, and finishing ability, Ozier is an intriguing option at lead guard which is what he played for Royal Nation (Portland Christian's club squad). He did a solid job getting the ball up the court and handling pressure, while offensively he showed a soft touch from three while converting a number of slashes to the basket. With his length and athleticism, the lefty was a factor on the defensive end both with steals and blocking shots.
