This is the 4th version of the Class of 2027 Player Rankings, with the first two rounds of player rankings for this class located at the Nothing But Net Magazine website, and the last round here at Prep Hoops. I have updated this list to include the 2025-2026 high school basketball season and postseason, as well as the Spring portion of the club season. I have expanded this list from 30 to 50 players from around the Central Section. This list of players was compiled using my own evaluations, along with feedback from knowledgeable media, coaches, and other relevant basketball personnel from the Section, to make up the top 50 junior prospects for this updated round of player rankings for the 2027 Class. However, the order of players on this list is my own. This list takes into consideration two key factors in determining where players are ranked, and will be the same criteria used each time this list is updated. The criteria for these rankings are as follows: current skill level and production on the court, as well as future projection at the collegiate level. Below are the next 10 players of these players rankings, #21 - #30, and will be followed by the next 10 players, #31-#40. In this article, you will find the following information: current rank, their previous rank in parentheses, the player's name, height, player position, and current school they are attending. I know some of the players on this list will be,or are already at different schools, but I will update that in the next round of these player rankings. We begin this updated list with lead guard Eddie Ramey III.

21 (13) Eddie Ramey III (6' | PG) - South Bakersfield (CA)

Ramey comes in at #21 in this updated list, moving down 8 spots from the last round of player rankings. Ramey was a core part of the talented Spartans squad this season, helped South win the SYML title outright, averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, and earned 2nd Team All-South Yosemite Mountain League honors. Ramey has been playing with Team Rampage 17s (based out of the Bay Area) for the Spring portion of the club season and has been displaying high-level lead guard play as he prepares to be the focal point for Spartans starting next week in June. Ramey has a strong handle on the ball, great court vision to find open teammates off the drive and kick pass, out of the pick and roll action, or up the court in transition to get the ball ahead. Ramey has shifty moves to get his defender off balance, uses the crossover, hesitation, and between-cross to create space, has the physical build to score through contact at the basket, as well as connect on the jumper from the mid-range to the 3-point line with frequency. Ramey is a tough on-ball defender with active hands, good instincts, and timing to jump passing lanes, poke the ball out, or deflect passes to get out and run in the open court.

22 (18) [player_tooltip player_id='2932197' first='Jaxson' last='Silverstrom'] (6'1 | CG) - San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno CA)

Coming in at #22 and moving down 4 spots is the state champ [player_tooltip player_id='2932197' first='Jaxson' last='Silverstrom']. Silverstrom has proven to be one of the top perimeter defenders in the Section, but showed he is much more than a utility guy for the Panthers, running the lead guard spot at times, and looking to get his own shots. Silverstrom had a solid season with good numbers, averaging 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, and earning 2nd Team All-CMAC League 1 honors. Silverstrom has been busy with track and field, being one of the top high jumpers in the Section, but he will be back on the court in a few weeks and looks to be the spark plug that ignites the defense for SJM. Silverstrom has solid handles, shifty moves to create off the dribble, a good burst of speed off the bounce, with good body control, to score through contact around the basket, as well as in the air on the jumper. Silverstrom is a great positional rebounder with quick bounce and leaping ability, the court vision to find players up the court or off the drive and kick pass, has great lateral quickness, active hands, instincts, and awareness to jump passing lanes, poke the ball out, or deflect passes to turn defense to offense. Effective with the 3-ball to open up the court and his four years of varsity will be critical to help some of the younger players on the roster.

23 (NR) Elijah Ormond (6'7 | WF) - St. Joseph (Santa Maria CA)

Ormond makes his debut to this list and comes in at #23 in this updated list of players. Ormond was more of a role player this past season for the loaded Knights roster, but did make his presence felt when on the floor. Ormond recently had a solid showing at the Pangos Best of SoCal Showcase, which featured some of the top players from Southern California, and he did well, showcasing his skill set and size. He also had a great showing back in August at the Central Cali Prospects Junior/Senior Showcase, where he was one of the event's top scorers, and displayed his ability to operate in the paint, as well as create off the wing. Ormond should see his role increase going into June, as St. Joes is set to play in some quality events, and I see him as a valuable D2 level prospect out of high school that has D1 potential. Ormond has the handles and moves to create space from his defender off the bounce, gets to the elbows for the pull-up jumper or can pull-up from beyond the arc, looks to post up smaller players with quick moves and size to shoot over or get around players to get his shots off, and can score through contact in the paint. Ormond is active on the glass, alters shots in the post, as well as on the perimeter, and can make good reads from the top of the key or from the low-block to cutting teammates.

24 (16) Pamir Olivier (6' | PG) - Hoover (Fresno CA)

Olivier comes in at #24 in this updated player list, moving out of the top 20 for now. Olivier had another solid season for the Pats, helping lead Hoover to a CMAC 2 League co-championship, averaging 11.4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game, and earning 1st Team All-CMAC 2 League honors. Olivier will lead the relatively young Pats next year, as this year's roster was senior heavy for the core rotation, and will have a chance to boost his numbers from this year. Olivier is a great positional rebounder, uses the crossover, hesitation, and between-cross to create space from his defender, has the court vision to find open teammates off the drive and kick pass, out of the pick and roll action, or up the court off the glass. Olivier is a crafty scorer around the basket, is accurate with the mid-range jumper off the dribble, and moves well off the ball to get open looks off the catch from beyond the arc. He is a versatile defender with good length, active hands, and timing to deflect passes, jump passing lanes, and alter shots on the wing.

25 (NR) Alex Hanzak (6'2 | CG) - Kingsburg (CA)

Rounding out the top 25 and making his debut on this list at #25 is Alex Hanzak. Hanzak was pivotal this season for the Vikings, as he took on the lead guard role more frequently, showed he can space the floor to open up the court, and was a swiss army knife for Kingsburg. Hanzak put up a great stat-line to display his impact on the whole game, with averages of 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2 steals per game, as well as earning 1st Team All-Tri-County Kings Canyon League honors. Hanzak has solid handles, has the moves to create off the dribble, using the crossover, between-cross, and hesitation moves to get by his defender, is a crafty scorer at the basket over height, and is effective with the mid-range jumper off the bounce. Hanzak moves well off the ball to get open looks, is effective with the 3-ball off the catch, has great court vision to find teammates up the court, off the drive and kick pass, or out of the pick and roll action. Hanzak is active on the boards, has good instincts to deflect passes or jump passing lanes, and impacts both ends of the court. He will be relied upon to lead the Vikings next season, who will have a new look with no big man in the paint, as Jensen Hirschkorn graduates this month.

26 (22) Kayden Lewis-Burnley (6'3 | WG) - Clovis (CA)

Lewis-Burnley moves down a few spots and comes in at #26 in this updated list of player rankings. Lewis-Burnley was key for the Cougars this season, especially in key moments of games with his elite athleticism and ability to pressure the basket, force turnovers, and get out in the open court. Lewis-Burnley will likely be missing from the Cougars June roster, as he is nationally ranked in the long-jump, which will run throughout the summer. Despite track and field being his primary sport, the kid can flat out hoop. Lewis-Burnley has great lateral foot-speed, gets into his opponents dribbling space to force poor decisions, and jumps passing lanes or pokes the ball out to generate steals and transition buckets. Lewis-Burnley is active on the boards, has enough handle to create off the wing, is effective with the pull-up jumper, and moves well off the ball to get open looks off the catch from beyond the arc. High-level two-way player that will be needed to keep this year's momentum going and looking to repeat as the D2 Section champs.

27 (NR) Hudson Wiley (6'1 | CG) - Liberty (Bakersfield CA)

Wiley makes his debut on this list of players and comes in at #27. Wiley is coming off a breakout season that helped put his name on the hoops map in the South Valley, and he will look to expand that notoriety over the Summer and into next season. Wiley was a key factor in helping start the program turnaround for the Patriots, as he and fellow junior guard Bryce Hanson made for a formidable back-court duo, combining for nearly 30 points per game. Wiley put up solid numbers across the board, averaging 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 steals per game, and earned 2nd Team All-South Yosemite River League honors. Wiley keeps the ball on a string to survey the floor, has the court vision and decision making to find open teammates from the top of the key to cutting players, or make the right read off the drive and kick pass, as well as up the court off the glass, given that he is a good positional rebounder. Wiley moves fluidly off the ball, has the moves to create his own shots off the bounce, and is accurate with the jumper from the mid-range to the 3-point line, with range on the deep ball. Looking forward to seeing where his game is over the next few weeks, as he is a player that could move into the Top 25 by the next round of these updated rankings.

28 (NR) Jordan Ruffin (6'5 | WF) - Sanger West (Fresno CA)

Ruffin makes his debut on this updated list of players and comes in at #28. Ruffin provided the interior presence that helped lead the Hornets to an outright NYL title, the top seed in the D4 Section playoffs, and a spot in the D4 Section title game that went down the wire. Ruffin put up impressive numbers this season with averages of 13 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.6 blocks, as well as earning 1st Team All-North West Yosemite League honors. Ruffin crashes the boards on both ends, getting put-backs off the offensive glass with touch, alter shots in the paint, with the ability to close out and disrupt perimeter shooters, and has good court awareness to run the lanes in the open court. Ruffin has nice touch on shots around the basket, has the strength to score through contact around the basket, is accurate with face-up mid-post jumper, has enough handle to put the ball on the deck and attack the basket from the high-post, and is able to space the floor from beyond the arc enough to pull his defender away from the basket and open up the court.

29 (15) Lawrence Moore (6'3 | WG) - Hanford (CA)

Moore comes in at #29 in this updated list of players, moving out of the top 20 but with plenty of game to get back in when this list is updated. Moore transferred to Hanford from Clovis West and was forced to sit 30-days per CIF rules, and being a late transfer, he didn't really have the time to gel with his teammates, which should look a lot different starting in June going into next season. Moore has active hands and a long wingspan to deflect passes, jump passing lanes, or poke the ball out to get out in transition, is a great positional rebounder that can push the ball up the court, and is a crafty scorer around the basket. Moore has solid handles, shifty moves to create space from his defender, gets great lift on the jumper, with accuracy on the mid-range jumper, moves well off the ball, and is able to connect on the 3-ball off the catch or the dribble.

30 (12) [player_tooltip player_id='2955798' first='Spencer' last='Kubit'] (6' | SG) - Clovis West (Fresno CA)

Kubit rounds out the Top 30 and moves out of the top 20 for the first time since these player rankings started for this class. Kubit was sidelined for a majority of the season due to a bad concussion and, to my knowledge, has not played since early in the season. Despite the games missed, Kubit is one of the best 3-point shooters in the Section and, if healthy, will be a key piece for the revamped Clovis West roster. Assuming Kubit is able to come back and return to his level of play prior to the injury, I could see him jumping back into the top 20. Kubit has solid handles, the moves to create space from his defender, and the off ball movement to get to his shot spots, with accuracy on the 3-ball off the catch or the dribble.
