CBG I-95 Championship: 17U Standouts (Part 3)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The CBG I-95 Series came to an end this past weekend with the Championships, and the atmosphere and competition was off the charts with a ton of the top players in the state in the event. He showed his high IQ and great instincts as he made the right read consistently and made great rotations on the defensive end, he shot the ball well from deep and showed his crafty finishing ability over bigger defenders, and he showed a competitive chip on both ends of the floor as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jackson Houser | 6'3” WG | Dreamchasers</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Houser is coming off of a big junior season at Tabb, and throughout the I-95 Series he was a steady standout and had an impressive showing this past weekend at the Championship. The 6'3” wing shot the ball extremely well showing off good range and a quick release off the catch, he was a good secondary ball handler who got to spots and made tough shots in the midrange, he showed good instincts on the defensive end getting deflections and guarding the ball, and he showed his ability to get hot quickly and fill it up in bunches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3275784' first='Donovan' last='Stinney'] | 6'6” PF | CBG Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":3653085,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"media"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/05/Stinney-Donovan.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/05/Stinney-Donovan.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3653085" /></a></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stinney was a breakout player at Henrico this past season, and he showed why with CBG Elite this past weekend as he was a dominant force on both ends of the floor. He manned the paint and protected the rim while pulling down rebounds in and out of his area, he ran the floor well and showed his athleticism in the open floor, he played about the rim in the dunker spot and attacked the offensive glass, and he showed his versatility with his ability to take the defenders off the bounce too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470591' first='Jaylen' last='Tyler'] | 5'9” PG | CBG Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tyler ran the show for a showcase team, which is always impressive to me when he can help make teammates better without practicing together and not having chemistry. He was fantastic handling pressure and controlling the tempo and was great making plays in transition, he showed his ability to guard the ball and run and jump in the press, he touched the paint at will and showed his ability to finish and make plays for others, and his toughness and energy was infectious to his team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
