Another spring weekend is in the books. However, this wasn't just another normal weekend. The Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam is one of a couple annual can't miss events. Routinely bringing together all of the top Midwest teams across all shoe circuits, this is the best evaluation event of the spring without a doubt. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer. Let's dive on in and start to highlight some of the individual top performers from the weekend in Fort Wayne at the Run N Slam.

There is a uniqueness to Bowling III's game that makes him really hard to guard. The 6'5" guard has length for days and really elevates when he gets inside of 15 feet or so to score. He handles the ball well enough to create his own looks and then can get up above the defense. Bowling III also finishes with both hands equally well at the rim and in that intermediate range. He really played well for [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] P32 16u and continues to prove himself as a top prospect in Indiana's Class of 2028.

There was a level of physicality to DeDeaux II's game from the perimeter that really stood out. Then, he flashed some athleticism in the open floor and a well-rounded skill set to put him over the edge. He was one of the stars for Bates Fundamentals 15u and more than held his own against a very talented [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] EYBL 15u team when we were watching. DeDeaux II should be a top prospect in Michigan's Class of 2029.

Elam was a major stock-riser this weekend at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. The 6'8" forward hit a couple of face-up jump shots for Darius Garland P32 17u and used his size to score inside against smaller defenders. His overall versatility as a skilled front court piece was impressive. Definitely one to keep an eye on out of Campbell County High School in Kentucky.

If you are looking for someone who can knock down tough jump shots look no further than this 6'4" guard from Carmel High School. Nover is a high percentage catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc and was consistently knocking down pull-up jump shots as well for Progeny UA Grind 17u. He helped lead the way with 14 points in a game we watched over the weekend.

If you simply follow the numbers there have been few, if any, freshmen in the state of Indiana that have produced at a higher level than Russell. He put up some monster numbers at Madison High School and has carried it over to the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] P32 15u. Russell is an excellent catch-and-shoot threat that is a very skilled passer as well. Those two skills pair very well together and work in concert with one another to make him a very good offensive player. Both skills were on display when I went to watch [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] play on Sunday at the Run N Slam.

Welker's continued physical development has led to increased confidence on the hardwood. The 6'7" forward averaged a double-double as a junior at Homestead High School putting up 20.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Now, playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] EYBL 17u, he is finishing around the basket consistently and continuing to rebound at a high level. He was a big part of their Run N Slam championship run this weekend.

Anytime you see a young big man with this kind of size you are going to write the name down as one to track long term. Then, you start to get even more excited as he shows off some legitimate skill. Williams is a 6'9" interior presence with a soft, left-handed touch as a finisher. When watching Michigan Unified P32 15u at the Run N Slam Williams finished over his right shoulder, made a tough lefty push shot on the short roll, and converted offensive rebound putbacks. He is absolutely one to follow closely in Michigan's Class of 2029.
