Windy City War: 5 High Energy Standouts

So far, we've covered positional standouts, three-point shooters to follow, and stock risers. Another group that stood out were the high-energy, high-motor prospects who consistently impacted the game. Here, we spotlight the players who stayed in go-mode and brought relentless energy throughout the Windy City War.    Newson stood out with his vertical ability and athleticism that led to positive plays. He pushed the pace in transition with speed, creating opportunities in the open floor. Defensively, he showed good instincts reading jump passes for steals and used his quickness to apply pressure, while also using his bounce to contest at the rim. Offensively, he put pressure on the rim with one-dribble drives and welcomed contact.     Salazar's motor seemed to never stop, and it paid dividends. He was slick getting to the rim, finishing with smooth layups and consistently putting pressure on the defense. He also showed confidence as a perimeter shooter, getting up threes with room for continued development in his shot. In transition, he was quick with the ball and played with speed in the open floor. Defensively, his hustle stood out, creating turnovers and helping speed up opposing offenses.     Lindquist was all over the floor, making play after play and consistently impacting the game in multiple ways. He showed activity in the open floor and halfcourt, using his motor to stay involved possession after possession. Defensively, he generated hustle steals by flying around and jumping passing lanes. Offensively, he also got up a volume of threes and showed some promise as a perimeter shooter.     Burke embraced the physicality, playing with an aggressive edge on the glass. He attacked rebounds with a nose for the ball, wasn't afraid to take on contact, and competed through traffic to secure possessions. His energy across the floor helped generate momentum and provided a spark for his team.     A fun 6'5” wing to watch, Corcoran showed a smooth offensive package including step-back jumpers and straight line slashes to the rim. He competes at the rim, using his length and athleticism to finish above the rim and play through contact. Defensively, he brings energy as well, tracking down chase-down blocks and impacting plays as a help-side presence.
