This tier of programs tells the story of balance — some reached the mountaintop, others made deep runs, and a few are setting up for serious jumps next year.

15. Victory Christian (25-7) | Class 1A

Victory Christian put together another strong postseason push, finishing as state runner-up after a hard-fought loss to Sagemont. This was a team built on balance, experience, and understanding roles — and it showed in big moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='2810621' first='Christian' last='Fuller'] continued trending upward as a dependable two-way guard, bringing scoring and defensive consistency. [player_tooltip player_id='1633075' first='Tucker' last='Fox'] did what he's done all year — space the floor and knock down shots at a high clip. In the frontcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='2299674' first='Thok' last='Gol']'s development gave them a versatile option with size, while [player_tooltip player_id='2800185' first='MJ' last='McCalla'] handled the physical presence inside and did the dirty work.

They'll lose pieces, but the identity is set. This is still one of the more stable programs in the area with enough returning talent to stay in the mix.

16. Evans (State Runner-Up) | Class 6A

Youth, Size, and Real Momentum

Evans made one of the more impressive runs in the state, reaching the 6A state championship game behind a group that's still relatively young. They knocked off multiple quality opponents along the way and showed they can compete at the highest level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2816443' first='Jakai' last='Hardy'] emerged as a true go-to scorer. The 2028 guard already looks comfortable in big moments, scoring at all three levels and playing with confidence beyond his years. His ability to create offense changes the ceiling of this team moving forward.

They'll feel the loss of seniors like [player_tooltip player_id='3578343' first='Dewayne' last='Dixon'], who anchored the paint, and [player_tooltip player_id='2217917' first='Kadir' last='Rackley'], who brought toughness and experience. But pieces like [player_tooltip player_id='3557234' first='Nikarens' last='Deceus'] give them size and versatility to build around.

With that kind of postseason experience early, Evans is a program that could take another step sooner than later.

16. The Rock (22-7)

The Rock quietly put together a strong 22-7 season and continues to prove it can develop talent at a high level.

What stands out is the core. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='3533327' first='Marco' last='Johnson'] leading the way at 17.0 PPG says a lot about where this program is headed. Add in juniors Evans McCumber (16.0 PPG) and Kyroe Jordan (14.0 PPG), and you've got a group that's already producing and still growing.

They competed well throughout the season, and with that scoring trio returning, The Rock has a chance to take a real jump next year if they continue building around that offensive firepower.

17. Suncoast (4A State Champions)

Suncoast didn't just win — they imposed their identity all the way through the 4A bracket.

This was a physical, defensive-minded group that made every game uncomfortable. They rebounded, defended, and controlled tempo at a high level. In the state championship, that approach showed again as they limited easy looks and forced opponents into tough possessions.

Offensively, they didn't need to be flashy. They were efficient enough, but the real difference was their ability to wear teams down over four quarters. That discipline and toughness carried them to a state title and made them one of the more complete teams in Florida this year.

18. Saint Andrew's (24-5)

Saint Andrew's put together a really solid 24-5 season behind one of the more productive senior cores in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2640212' first='Xander' last='Gerard'] carried a major scoring load at 24.3 PPG while also impacting the glass. Lukas Buinevicious added balance with 11.6 PPG and 7.3 rebounds, doing a little bit of everything. [player_tooltip player_id='1633131' first='Brendan' last='Gerard'], known more as a facilitator, showed he could step into a scoring role when needed and keep the offense organized.

The challenge now is replacing that level of production. They're losing a lot, and how quickly the next group steps in will determine whether they maintain that standard or take a step back before reloading.

19. Oak Ridge (20-10)

Oak Ridge quietly had a strong 20-10 season and remains one of the more respected programs in Central Florida.

They made a run to the state semifinal (Final Four), showing they can compete deep into the postseason. Senior Donovan Williams led the way with 17.6 PPG and 5.8 rebounds, providing consistent production on both ends.

What stands out most, though, is what's coming back. This roster has young talent that gained real experience during that playoff run. Oak Ridge is a team that could come back more complete and make another deep push.
