RUMBLE IN THE RAPIDS 17U ALL-STAR TEAM

Edgar Hubbard (1of1 Detroit National Team 17u)

Hubbard was a bucket getter for 1of1. He was a multi level scorer in the half court. Hubbard was able to hit a contested 3 pointer from the wing, but also put the ball on the floor and touch paint. He was always a factor in transition, having the ability to lead the break with the ball, attack the block looking for the dump off or hit the corner looking for the kick out.

Jackson Kohler (Blue Water Hurricanes)

Kohler was easily one of the most impressive players in the gym. He started the event by torching the nets. Kohler dropped his team's first 19 points on Friday night, putting them up 17 before anyone had a chance to catch their breath. His hot shooting continued throughout the weekend. Kohler also consistently got the ball to it's spots and handled the ball like the high level PG that he is.

Samuel Makuag (The Family 17u)

Makuag drew a crowd when he was on the floor. He just physically passes the eye test of a D1 prospect. He's long and athletic and has such good feet for his size and age. Makuag did a nice job finding space on the weakside and making himself available for a drop off pass or weakside rebound. He finished them off with easy 2 handed dunk finishes.

Jonathan Morgan (The Academy UAG 17u)

Morgan is sending a message statewide so far this spring. Saying that he's underrated might be the understatement of the season. Morgan can flat out fill it up and he can score in a hurry. In a huge win against The Family, he shot the 3 ball with no conscience and connected on a very high percentage. Morgan showed volleyball line range on that jumper.

Everett Wertz (Moneyball East 17u)

There were whispers of Wertz throughout the gym during Rumble In The Rapids. He showed off a very versatile offensive game. Wertz had good offensive feet and I saw him attack the rim with both the left and the right hands. He even connected on a couple triples when I watch as well. Wertz was able to rim run, catch the feed, and finish at the bucket.
