Another great day of basketball at the Champions Center in Appleton, Wisconsin in the 16u division. I was able to take in several great moments, competitive games, and quality sophomores during the Madness in the Midwest. Let's dive into my stars of Sunday from the action here in the valley!

Mcglone was an x-factor with his ability to get to the basket on Sunday for his [program_tooltip program_id='2076025' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] ball club. Mcglone is a plus athlete allowing for him to impact the game on both ends. He is physically strong allowing him to get to his right hand to finish easy buckets at the rim. I was impressed with Mcglone's ability to run end to end in transition without fatiguing much in his game against MN Fury. Mcglone, who attends Hortonville High School, continues to develop other parts of his game, could find himself in the mix for playing time next season for the Polar Bears.

One item that was very apparent as soon as I sat down to watch CV Select, was how hard Reich competes at all times when he is on the floor. The five-foot-ten prospect from Flambeau High School, is lightning quick with the basketball on the offensive end. Sully is a pure shot creator when he has the ball in his hands in PNR opportunities and in transition. When he was not blowing by defenders, Reich was utilizing his strong frame to get lower than his matchup and hold off physical contact to get to the rim to finish, or set up his teammates. Sully is a disruptive force with his quickness and motor on the ball and in passing lanes on the defensive end. Reich is an elite shooter from the perimeter and has a very quick release. Sully figures to be a staple in the Lakeland-East Conference the next two seasons.

Another solid under six foot guard in this game between the Northstar Titans and CV Select. Fred was by far the best player in this showdown in the afternoon, finishing the game with 18 points, and a handful of assists and rebounds. Onyinkwa is so fast with the ball in his hands and led a one man fast break for the Titans as they won this battle. The guard prospect from PACT Charter, has a smooth jump shot and great touch from the midrange. Onyinkwa was one of the better Minnesota prospects I was able to take in on Sunday.

Eisermann was as smooth as they come on Sunday for a solid Foundation North team composed of players from the La Crosse greater area. Eisermann is a longer framed player despite his height and he used this to his advantage on Sunday. Konley was able to use his frame and elite footwork to rise above opposing closeouts to sink several triples and hit from the second level off the bounce. The leftie from Holmen, had 23 points in his matchup against SP Wolves drilling six triples. Eisermann did play JV at Holmen last season, but figures to be a mainstay in the Viking lineup moving forward.

McHugh is another strong player for Foundation and hails from Melrose-Mindoro High School. Wyatt was the leading scorer for the Mustangs during the 25-26 campaign and he has carried this success into real confidence on the court this club season. McHugh is a pure sniper from deep as he finished with three triples in his matchup in the afternoon at the Champions Center on Sunday. McHugh has deep range and is able to get clean looks up often off the bounce, and off dribble penetration. I was impressed with McHugh's ability to do the little things for Foundation, diving on loose balls, hustling for offensive rebounds, and looking to make the extra pass.

Alhassan brought a physical presence to this game with is ability to disrupt and alter shots on the defensive end. Ray is an athletic front court player that played with good toughness as Foundation tried to probe at the basket. The SP Wolves shot well from perimeter in general, but they relied on Alhassan to get timely and clutch buckets directly at the rim. The prospect from Sun Prairie West High School was able to dominate in the paint with his physicality and good footwork around the rim. He finished with 16 points and a bunch of rebounds in this matchup. Alhassan competes with a lot of energy and confidence and could provide some valuable minutes for his high school club if he continues to develop other parts of his game.
