The annual showcase and charity event took place at Sussex Central and featured prospects from as far as New York and Philadelphia. But it was the 8th graders from the Delmarva region who tipped off the event and set the tone for the rest of the day. Here are six prospects from the class if 2030 who stood out:

Keonte Bratton Jr | 2030 MD South

Bratton Jr rumbled on defense and on the boards against DE South. An all-around athlete, he caught the opposing offense off-guard with his tenacious ball pressure, forcing several turnovers as result. Bratton Jr also extended possessions due to his effort on the glass. His rebounding and steals fueled a late surge by MD South, almost snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. He put up a gritty 10 points, 10 boards, and 5 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='3580148' first='Dawonne' last='Downing Jr'] | 2030 DE South

In the first half, Downing Jr made some connecting plays to help the DE South squad build its lead, but it was him going off in the second that kept MD South at bay and earned him the MVP honors. He hit a pair of threes to open up the third quarter, one on a secondary break and the other off of a kickout. Then, after a reverse layup off-the-catch, he played well without the ball. Downing Jr scored by hustling in transition, cutting, and chipping in on the offensive glass. He scored all of his team-high 15 points in the second half, plus 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

Kasai Golphin | 2030 MD South

With his strong and rugged build, Golphin got up and down the floor for MD South. He went coast-to-coast on fastbreaks and generated second-chance points. In the process, Golphin wore down the defense with his physical takes to the hoop and helped his squad make a push late. He notched 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

[player_tooltip player_id='3488604' first='Kingston' last='Harris'] | 2030 DE South

An athletic wing, Harris played a complete floor-game to help lead his DE South team to victory. He scored on an impressive drive to the hoop and a smooth pull-up, but it was the other things he did that stood out. Because MD South had the size advantage, at about 6'3, Harris using his height and length to create havoc on defense and to crash the boards on both ends was invaluable. And in the fourth quarter, he went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe to close out the win. He finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 stocks (2s 1b).

Kenneth Turnage | 2030 MD South

A high motor combo guard, Turnage made his presence felt on offense and defense. He gave his team a huge boost in third quarter. Book-ended by a couple putbacks, Turnage cashed a pull-up three, stole the ensuing inbound pass, and laid the ball up. He forced a other turnover and scored a pair of transition buckets late to finish with a game-high 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2568643' first='Prestin' last='Williams'] | 2030 DE South

Williams put together a monster defensive performance that started from the opening tip-off. His active hands disrupted passes and passes and his wide frame made it difficult for offensive players to go through him to score and/or to rebound over him. The stretch forward got on the scoreboard with a spot-up three, then proceeded to do the rest of his damage from two. He got a few buckets out on the break and made a couple clutch putbacks in the final quarter as he racked up 14 points, 7 boards, and 5 stocks (3s & 2b).
