This article will cover one of the most talented and well coached teams I was able to observe this weekend, the [program_tooltip program_id='2537937' first='Barber' last='Society Tarheels'] 16u. This group of 2028 young men were one of the first games I was able to watch and was immediately impressed by. Their teamwork in every facet of the game was fun to watch, and they work together as a well-structured unit. I was able to catch up with their starting five after the game and examine some of their skillsets. Without further ado, let's dive right into the team preview for the Barber Society 16u.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532105' first='Kristian' last='Aubrey'] was the catalyst and floor general for the Tarheels as he controlled the pace of the game and made plays happen on offense. He does well about surveying the court from the point guard slot and always has the instincts to know when his teammates are open. He had multiple drives to the basket that resulted in two quick points on various possessions and helped lock down the perimeter on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540341' first='Dakowen' last='Celestine'] was one of the post presences down low for Barber Society on Sunday in their key games. He has shifty footwork to beat his defenders at the basket, and he also sends shots away with good fundamental defense in the paint. Celestine uses size and his reach to convert layups and blocks into second chance points and fastbreak opportunities. He also has a good motor in transition for his size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532101' first='Karsen' last='Buggs'] is one of the quicker guards off the dribble for the Tarheels. He found himself in favorable isolation situations on offense multiple occasions where he could use quickness and speedy dribble combos to find his way to a quick layup or create his own shot off the dribble from all three levels. Buggs got to the foul stripe at an efficient rate and converted on multiple occasions, helping his team at critical times in the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2841619' first='Tyler' last='Spraggins'] was one of the best shooters in the 16u division I watched on Sunday. Tyler showed ability to hit consistently from deep, either off the dribble or from a spot up position. He also helped crash the glass on both ends as a tall guard and handled the press well with ballhandling duties as well. Calm and poise under pressure, Spraggins continued to rain in threes over the course of both games the Tarheels played.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532092' first='Donte' last='Bourda'] was one of the main combo guards who was capable of running the one or two slots for Barber Society during their contests on Sunday. Bourda may be one of the shortest on the court, but this allows him to thread needle passes and handle the ball through holes in the defense other players could not usually exploit. Bourda also has good mechanics on his jumper from all three levels and does not hesitate to be a pass first guard for his team when they need something to happen on offense.
