A legitimate floor general who consistently operates with clear poise and a strong command of the offense, [player_tooltip player_id='2201947' first='Anthony' last='Gonzalez'] distinguished himself as an instinctive decision maker and unselfish playmaker, all while also remaining a threat to score. Gonzalez, who has really good feel for the game, proved to be a natural PnR operator— attacking driving angles with quickness off the bounce out of different ball screens and showing impressive body control when finishing at the rim, getting to his mid range pull up when opposing bigs sagged off all while showing an increased efficiency from three point range as a perimeter shooter. Reading the floor with confidence and keeping his court vision, Gonzalez also shined as an open floor playmaker, controlling the tempo and finding guys open in transition.

A standout combo guard who projects to be a vital piece to this 17U HGSL Panthers' overall guard play, [player_tooltip player_id='2344534' first='James' last='Roberts'] strung together an impressive showing that not only highlighted the value he consistently provides but also the necessary strides he's taking in expanding and refining his overall floor game as a more versatile guard. This weekend's showing featured Roberts demonstrating an increased comfort in handling the basketball and orchestrating offense while also providing an efficient scoring punch— attacking driving angles off the bounce to get to the basket while also maintaining his court vision to find others mixed with his typical lethal perimeter spot up shooting off the ball.

A uniquely skilled and extremely valuable presence in the frontcourt for this Shoreshots UAA 17U group, Jack Donohue firmly established himself as a productive and versatile hybrid forward. Donohue showcased the added dimension he brings to this offense, leveraging a unique skill set and fluid athleticism for his size and position— stretching the floor and confidently knocking down outside shots as a viable movement shooter, a potent pick and pop option, and a more than capable spot up shooter. Donohue's impact also extended to the defensive end of the floor where he utilized his length and frame to be an extremely impactful as a rebounder and a shot blocker.

Nico Esposito has built up quite a bit a reputation of being a legitimate knockdown threat from the perimeter and he did nothing but reaffirm that status in this weekend's action. Excelling in a role that highlights potent off ball shot making, Esposito shot the lid off the basket and demonstrated his consistent ability to be a dangerous threat from three point range, particularly with his soft outside shooting touch paired with a very quick and high shooting release.

[player_tooltip player_id='2203814' first='Gabriel' last='Kielb'] supplied a steady presence from the guard position for this NJ Panthers 17U Academic group all weekend, particularly with his ability to provide timely shot making and crafty finishing in traffic. Kielb seemed to know exactly where to pick his spots offensively, without necessarily breaking the rhythm and flow of the offense— getting to open areas for mid range pull ups, also capitalizing on open perimeter looks off the catch in the corners while also knowing when to push the tempo in transition for allusive finishes evading defenders around the basket.
