While watching the action at last weekend's Prep Hoops Jayhawk Jam in Lawrence (KS) last weekend, we came across a group of young players in the 15U division who were hard-working kids who got positive results through their sheer effort. Here is a look at some of those hard-working forwards.

Alex Bettis (Kansas 94x50): A 6'3" forward who was bull in the china shop on the court. He is physically strong and he played with maximum effort at both ends of the court. He is a tough rebounder who did not mind the contact. He also had a solid skill set on the perimeter. He stepped out and hit the 3-pointer and he could handle the ball in the open court.

Leland Epling (Team Together): A 6'2" forward who was a bundle of energy on the court. I loved his motor as he never took a play off when he was out there. He had a great sequence in the game I watched him where he grabbed an offensive rebound and scored, got back on defense to get a steal and went coast to coast for a layup. His effort and energy really got his teammates excited.

Tyler Holmes (KC Spurs): A 6'2" forward who was one of the top offensive rebounders that I watched during the weekend. He has good athleticism and a quick second and third jump, which helped him get those offensive boards. He was also running the court very hard in transition at every opportunity.

Zion Haynes (Kansas 94x50): A 6'3" power forward who did a terrific job on the offensive boards in both games that I watched him. He battled for position and he did a good job of getting out of his area to corral rebounds and get extra possessions for his team. He was also a good and willing screener for his teammates.

Yohan Royale-Jackson (Magic 2029): A 6'4" forward who has a big body and did a good job of putting it to use around the basket. He was very good with his positioning and he was moving people around the lane like furniture. I enjoyed watching him giving extra effort to get offensive rebounds and get more possessions for his team. He was also a solid shot blocker from the weak side.

Jordan Urban (Kansas Rebels): A 6'2" forward who had a solid body and who played with a nice combination and strength and finesse. He is an active rebounder and he was also a really good screener. He loved to catch the ball at attack downhill on power drives. He played through contact very well.
