Competing against high level opponents in California, the group made an early statement to start the season. Below is a look at some of the top performers who stood out over the four game stretch.    Lackaff led the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game, showcasing his value as a consistent offensive producer. The Sarasota High School guard is highly skilled, with the ability to really shoot it with range and play effectively both on and off the ball. A strong, above average athlete, he can get into the paint and finish over length and through contact. With his combination of production and versatility, expect college coaches to be in hot pursuit this spring and summer.     Likely the highest level prospect in the program, Evans is a high level scoring wing with excellent size and length. The freshman shows a strong feel for the game and the ability to score at all three levels, making him a tough matchup for defenders. With his combination of skill, instincts, and pedigree as the son of a former NBA forward, he has significant long term upside.     Coming off a state title run with Providence, Nelson has carried that momentum into a strong spring. The junior is a skilled stretch forward who can knock down shots out to three, while also showing the strength and touch to score on the block. He rebounds at a high level and plays with a strong basketball IQ, making him a versatile and reliable presence on both ends.     One of the state's top available 2026 prospects, Roman averaged 7.5 points and 3.8 assists over the weekend. A skilled, playmaking wing with good size, he stands out for his vision and ability to create for others, consistently making high level reads. He is also a capable perimeter shooter, adding value as a scoring threat to complement his playmaking and high basketball IQ.     The lone true point guard on the roster, Pino led the team in assists in California. The junior plays with excellent pace, changing speeds and consistently controlling the flow of the game. He has good size for the position and a strong feel for the game, making smart reads and decisions. While he is capable of knocking down open perimeter shots and finishing in the lane, his greatest value comes as a passer and distributor who elevates those around him.     The junior is a mobile big man with high level size and developing skill. He has solid hands, can step out and knock down a midrange jumper, and shows the ability to impact the game defensively by altering shots. Offensively, he is effective as a screener who can roll and finish above the rim. His basketball instincts continue to improve, and while his best basketball is still ahead of him, he showed flashes of his upside with several productive plays over the weekend.
