A Rankings Update for 2028

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rankings coverage continues in New England this week as we unveil an udpate for the <em>Class of 2028</em>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This class has as talented of a Top 3 as you'll find in the country, with three prospects ranked in the <em>Top 50</em> nationally. Beyond that, it's shaping up to be an incredibly competitive class with tons of talent that should eventually play at the college level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Keeping the <strong><em>#1</em></strong> spot is <em>Brewster Academy's</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2349988' first='Michai' last='White']</em></strong>. Arguably the top point guard in the country, White is dynamic with the ball in his hands, can score it at multiple levels, and is uber-competitive on the defensive end of the floor. He continues to back up his <em>Top 25</em> national ranking.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Checkin in at <strong><em>#2</em></strong> is another <em>Brewster Academy</em> prospect in <strong><em>Kevin Wheatley Jr</em></strong>. A versatile wing, Wheatley makes his first appearance in these rankings after transferring into <em>Brewster Academy</em> last fall. He's a terrific prospect on the offensive end of the floor that has the ability to do a little bit of everything when asked. He also profiles as a high level defender down the road.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Holding down the <strong><em>#3</em></strong> spot is <em>Portsmouth's</em> <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2594613' first='Derek' last='Swartz']</em></strong>. The 6'5" guard wrapped up his sophomore season by earning <em>Player of the Year</em> honors in the state of New Hampshire. He plays with terrific pace, has the ability to rebound it at a high level on both ends of the floor, and continues to add elements to his game with each passing month.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At <strong><em>#4</em></strong> is <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2571906' first='Malachi' last='Odugbela']</em></strong>, a guard out of the <em>St. Andrew's School</em>. One of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the region, he has terrific measurables and plays with a great feel on the offensive end of the floor. He operates on or off the ball, scores it from deep, and also provides some defensive versatility.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rounding out the <em>Top 5</em> is <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2569694' first='Kyle' last='Delves']</strong></em> out of <em>Mount Saint Charles Academy</em>. An elite athlete, Delves continues to impress with his ability to take over games offensively. He's got tremendous burst, is creative with the ball in his hands, and has shown signs of wanting to be a stopper on the defensive end of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In all, 125 prospects have been ranked in this update, with an additional 215 appearing on the&nbsp;<em>Watch List</em>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All six New England state are represented in these rankings, with prospects coming from the NEPSAC, the Power 5, the Nike EYBL Scholastic League, and each of the six state associations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Positionally, these rankings feature 23&nbsp;<em>Point Guards</em>, 21&nbsp;<em>Combo Guards</em>, 22&nbsp;<em>Shooting Guards</em>, 27&nbsp;<em>Small Forwards</em>, 18&nbsp;<em>Power Forwards</em>, and 14&nbsp;<em>Centers</em>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Keep an eye on the site throughout the week as we highlight the Top 10, Newcomers, Risers, and more!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
