2027 Rankings Update: Class AAA New Names to Know

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Second group of new names to know for Class AAA basketball as we look to update the 2027 rankings</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2835654' first='Nathaniel' last='Clifford'] of Richfield (6'5).&nbsp; Clifford had a really good state tournament as a rebounder, defender around the basket, and finisher at the rim at the end of possessions&nbsp; Clifford has some potential and as he grows it's going to give the [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] a chance to play Collins and Horne in more versatile ways.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2842299' first='Finn' last='Dyvik'] of Orono (6'4).&nbsp; Orono won 18 games this year with mostly a new line-up (especially considering Hansen missed part of the season to injury) and along the way new players like Finn developed.&nbsp; Dyvik is a hard working player with size that posted 11 points, 7.5 rebounds and three assists a game in his first ever varsity action.&nbsp; We look forward to the encore.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140560' first='Ben' last='Heidgerken'] of Richfield (6'1).&nbsp; Ben was a hard working role player for the third best player in the state.&nbsp; He handled the ball some, he worked hard off the ball as a defender, moved the ball well and did whatever his team needed.&nbsp; Very good role player.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3579605' first='Goay' last='Hoth'] of St. Cloud Apollo (6'4).&nbsp; Hoth was a really nice surprise for the Eagles. A shooter/player with length that was able to stretch the floor because of other Apollo offensive options. Scored 11 points a contest and should have a chance for a big senior year.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2569247' first='Jiech' last='Jiech'] of St. Cloud Tech (6'4). One of the biggest surprises of the season, Jiech went from a four point per game player as a sophomore to averaging 22.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists a game as a junior.&nbsp; It certainly helps to grow a few inches but what grew more than his height was his confidence.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3579594' first='Karson' last='Lewis'] of Sartell (6'1).&nbsp; Sartell won nine games in a row to get to the state tournament and Lewis was a big reason for that.&nbsp; Lewis gave the Sabers a second perimeter scoring option at 13 points a game that really made them a more consistent team.&nbsp; Good shooter that will be the go-to player next season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2401711' first='Alexander' last='Pilakowski'] of Orono (6'1). The [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] always seem to have shooters and they found another one in Pilakowski.&nbsp; Ales scored 11 points a game this year and was good for three or more trees a game on average.&nbsp; Orono is going to be a much better team next year and Alex is a key reason for that.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
