<p>Over 400 teams will be taking part in the 116th annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament. Unfortunately, a lot of those teams are already going home after Tuesday night's slate of games. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from a couple of Sectional sites while keep eyes and ears in gyms all across the state as well. <p class="text-gray-700">Charlestown needed every point that Fresh could give them on Tuesday night. The Pirates escaped a first round scare from Corydon Central winning 69-64 in overtime. Fresh, a Miami (OH) signee, finished with 35 points to lead all scorers.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">It would probably be more note-worthy at this point if Kiteka did NOT deliver a double-double. However, the 6'9" Cloverdale center did just that on Tuesday night finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 56-44 win over White River Valley. Kiteka remains one of the top prospects in Indiana's Class of 2028.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Scoring 1,000 points is a very impressive career achievement. It isn't often that you see it done in just two seasons. Leggett, one of the top sophomores in Indiana, scored 31 points on Tuesday night and eclipsed the 1,000 career point milestone. Blackford won 62-54 over Alexandria.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Osswald playing his best basketball of the season has coincided with Hamilton Southeastern playing their best basketball of the season. The Royals won seven straight to end the regular season and added another one to their streak on Tuesday night defeating Westfield 68-61. A 6'5" unsigned senior forward, Osswald finished with a game-high 23 points and 9 rebounds in the victory.</p>

Schelsky had to will his Parke Heritage team to an overtime victory against Greencastle, 56-44, to advance to the Sectional Semifinals. He finished with a game-high 25 points.</p>
