"There is a winning culture," said Westview Head Coach Willie Trevathan. "There is a winning expectation. It has all to do with these kids that are school right now. State runner-up in football and I think state in baseball. That is really the same athletes doing it." Westview steamrolled a sound Smith County Owl team in the second half to secure their first appearance in the State Championship Game Saturday. Rebounding, rebounding, rebounding.

3/20/26: Insane athlete. [player_tooltip player_id='3561094' first='Miles' last='Brown'] rose above the entire Smith County Owl team. Seconds later he recovered consecutive offensive rebounds on the same play. Brown is a hulking mass of muscle with seemingly boundless energy. Miles hopped over 6-foot-7 [player_tooltip player_id='3562722' first='Lucas' last='Cornwell'] to pull down a monumental fourth quarter rebound. At the time Westview led 35-30. The defensive rebound helped give the Chargers some momentary breathing room.

3/20/26: Rugged rebounder. Colton was and is so important to what Upperman is trying to do. He is built like a logger and fears no contact. In the low block scrums Johnson frequently came out with the ball. Colton collected six rebounds against Fulton. Frankly, Upperman needed one or two more Coltons.
