This year, we have a familiar name and a familiar team. One point shy of 1,700 points, over 400 rebounds, and over 450 assists. Not only is [player_tooltip player_id='1278502' first='Gavin' last='Lowe'] an absolute force on offense, but he does it on both ends of the floor as he can be a ball hawk, and he is always ready to pounce and pick up a steal. He has had over 250 steals in his career. Not only was Lowe an absolute baller this season he was able to get through the season healthy, and through the bumps and bruises, he was the player that was holding that State Championship trophy at the end of the day.

Lowe has always been a high-energy player, and he knows how to play his role, as he did as a freshman on a loaded roster. He will need to find his role at the next level. Lowe can play on the ball, which is likely his superpower, but when he does not have the ball in his hands, and he is coming at you full-steam ahead, you are going to have trouble staying in front. Lowe does shoot the ball well, and there is no doubt that he will get better over time. When it comes to playmaking, Lowe has the gene, and he could pick up right where he left off, and that is what UC Irvine is hoping for.

What a legacy Coach Matt Barnes has built over at Olympus, and [player_tooltip player_id='1278502' first='Gavin' last='Lowe'] is up there with the best that have come through in the past few years, including Shaun Green, Jake Lindsey, Rylan Jones, Jeremy Dowdell, Jordan Barnes, and Dutch Dowdell. When you are a coach and have a PG that can lead and is also a leader, the knowledge he possesses is something you can only hope gets passed down to the next group. Lowe will definitely pass that down.
