<p>On Saturday March 14, PH NorCal was on hand for the final games of the boys high school basketball season for NorCal. The CIF State Championships at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. Here's a look at the DII, DIV standouts, and newcomers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3561229' first='Alberto' last='De Bernardis'] 6'3 Forward: A long arm active prospect, has good intensity on the court. Standing 6'3 he plays the forward position. He had good play in the post area, finding bodies to box before going after rebounds. He was a triple threat from the high post, good passing, using one or two dribbles, and spin moves to get closer to the rim. He'll square for the paint jumper, took it up strong off two in traffic. A lengthy defender gives good effort.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3561240' first='Matthew' last='Osterloh'] 6'4 Forward: A good size body at 6'4, makes good use of it. He can handles the bumping and banging that goes on inside. He plays on balance, plants, powers up strong off two around the rim, can hit the paint jumper. He has good passing skills. He did well defending in the post, alert, moves his feet, plays side to side, hands extended making it difficult to pass inside. He'll shoot 3's if open.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2871662' first='Pat' last='Bala'] 5'11 Point Guard: He's listed as a point guard, but did more than just run the team offense. He had good guard play, scored off ball. He has good handles, vision, a ball mover with decent foot speed. He was second in scoring in the title game with 13pts, some came at crucial times. He had hard drives to the basket along the baseline, knocked down a couple of needed 3's, made hustle plays to save possessions. 2stls.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3561246' first='Saurav' last='Shroff'] 6'1 SG: He was one of the first off the bench, gave the team a lift. He plays fast, bring energy, always moving. He got a steal, forced a couple of turnovers with his hustle, picked up, stayed close defending. He runs the court, he scored 4pts, on transition layups. At 6'1 he collected 3 rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>Kellen Owens </strong>6'0 PG: He's a quality combo guard, handles ball pressure, sees the court, passes up early. He can go by defenders, off ball with a stop and pop for short jumpers in the paints, or find open mates on the drive and dish, he had 4 assists. The 6'1 guard had 7 rebounds, he'll go coast to coast if you don't cut him off.</p>

<p><strong>Brehmer Garrett</strong> 6'1 Guard: He plays multiple positions, sets up in different areas on the court. He had good strong drives to the basket from the perimeter, and along the baseline, he handled contact made his free throws. He pulled up for short jumpers, sometimes with a lil fade. He nailed a couple needed 3's from the corner. He was the teams leading scorer in the title game with 17pts, 6-8 fg, 2/2 from 3.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3072422' first='Sajjin' last='Sidhu'] 6'4 G/F: He's an experienced player, understands the game. He's an excellent shooting guard, can knock down 3's if left open, he didn't shoot his best in this game 4-12, nonetheless he found ways to contribute. He steadied the offense at times, had good ball movement, made the right reads, found his bigs for paint points, found his shooters. Played good defense, got a strip, and a steal late, knocked down a key bucket with under a minute. 10pts, 3rebs</p>

<p><strong>Dominick Olanrewaju </strong>6'6 Soph Forward: Good size, probaly still growing, has a good frame to add muscle. He's got a nice looking shot from behind the 3-point line, squares up has a clean release, hit his first one. His biggest contribution was his ability to work the boards. He was the games leading rebounder with 10, had 2 blocks, moved the ball, good upside.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2956487' first='Jaedyn' last='Johnson'] 6'1 Freshman Guard: He's one you'll have to keep an eye on from the Central Valley. With limited minutes he played good on the big stage. He has some natural abilities to his game, strong, solid body, good hops, and court speed. He had good ball movement, along with vision, collected 4 assists. He went high for a chase down block that prevented a basket late in the game.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2932601' first='Ty' last='Schalk'] 6'2 SG: He's known to us a good shooter from the 3-point line, he'll knock them down if left open. He's grown a bit, has steadily added pieces to his overall guard play. Showed improved handles up top, made a coupleof key inbound passes, had 3 assists with good ball movement. He runs the court, looks for a spot to put up a 3ptr, he'll use a floater to get his shot off over blockers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2194700' first='Jeremias' last='Killebrew'] 6'5 Forward: There's a good chance he was one of the better players off the bench in the 3 games we watched. He's got good hops, plays with energy around the rim, had multiple dunks. He has good lift and touch off the glass for paint jumpers. He used a couple of dribbles along the baseline to finish. He's a rebounder, runs the court, can defend in the post. 8pts, 4/6fg, 5 rebounds. </p>

<p><strong>Braylen Smith </strong>6'1 So, PG: He had his ups and downs in the game, shot 3-13, but did score 9pts. He's a rebounding guard collecting 8 for the game. He's got good guard skills, handles, and movement to weave his way through traffic to get his shot off, had lift on the mid-range jumper. He sees the court made a couple of lob passes for assists. He's has the foot speed, lateral movement to pick up and defend full court. 2a, 2s, 2blks.</p>

<p><strong>Caiden Jackson</strong> 5'10 PG: A fast guard with handles, gets up the court fast looking to pass or get his points. He's a willing passer dished out 4 assists. He can be aggressive using different ways to get his shots off the with some quick, shifty dribbles, and step-backs with balance at mid-range. He's got a burst to get into the paint.</p>

<p><strong>Owen Yurosek </strong>6'4 Jr SF/W: He was the leading scorer with 12pts. He hit short shots from different areas of the court. He plays on balance, makes good use of his body to generate paint points. He's got some touch on the mid-range jumper, with a lil fade on occasion. He works the high post with ball movement, and drives. He'll drop a 3-pointer trailing in transition, hit the catch corner 3, or drive the baseline.</p>
