The Class of 2031 showcased their talent this weekend at the Tennessee Throwdown in Memphis. As they prepare to lead their middle school teams next year, you can already see their growth and development. These are the players who stood out over the last couple of days at the Memphis Sports and Event Center.

You could tell early on that Donovan is one of the better players in the class of 2031 coming out of Arkansas. His combination of length and athleticism at the top of the press frustrated opposing guards, and he used his quick hands to get multiple steals. He was a really good ball handler and got to the rim at will. Not only was he finishing at the rim at a high level, but he also stepped out behind the arc and showcased his form and range that will continue to grow.

The lefty point guard on a talented roster, Glen controlled the tempo and pace of the game from the start. He used his pace and craftiness not only to run the offense but also to get to the rim and finish. He used his quickness to his advantage defensively, and you can tell he was the leader out there.

Even though his impact was immediate, you can see the potential Barrett has as he continues to grow. His height and length were on display as he established himself as the best rim protector in the 13U division this weekend. You can see his touch around the rim and even as he stepped out to 15-17 feet. His handle will continue to improve, but he has already shown he can get to the rim and finish off the dribble.

Shepard was the most consistent player for the TN Brigade in a very competitive first game of the weekend. Like his teammates, he was fundamentally sound and limited his mistakes, which will bode well for him as he continues to grow. His length was on display, finishing around the rim and cleaning the glass.

The leading scorer in their first game of the weekend, Braylen showcased his ability to score on multiple levels. He was able to get to the rim, knock down FTs at the line, and step out behind the arc with confidence. His effort was on display defensively, pressuring ball handlers and sticking his nose in for rebounds.

Playing up an age group did not seem to be an issue for Demonte. He used his length and athleticism to his advantage on the defensive end and his quick hands to get multiple steals. He was able to finish at the rim and also showed his shooting with a good form that will continue to develop as he grows.
