The 17U guard group at Prep Hoops Bluff City Blues set the tone all weekend with pace, poise, toughness, and the ability to control stretches of games. These guys played well, reading coverages and making the right plays, whether scoring or creating for others. Each brought something different, but together they showed what good guard play looks like.

Lowe played with a calm, composed presence. He dictated tempo, got teammates organized, and picked his spots as a scorer. His ability to manage possessions and stay poised under pressure made him one of the most reliable guards on the floor. He was the clear leader on the floor, directing traffic, controlling tempo, and making the right reads. His playmaking and decision‑making set the tone for everyone around him.

Carlson showed why he's a problem when he gets rolling. He hit shots, created space, and played with confidence. Whether off the catch or off the bounce, his energy and punch gave his team a consistent offensive option. He blended shot‑making with playmaking, showing he can create advantages and shift momentum. More of a by-example leader rather than a vocal leader, but his production spoke loudly.

Jaylon Jackson - 2027 Guard Jaylon “ Sub 0” Jackson (@JaylonJacksonn3) / X

Jackson brought toughness and two‑way impact. He defended with purpose, attacked the rim, and played with a physical edge that lifted the group. His ability to pressure the ball and finish through contact stood out. He was the group's tone‑setter, especially defensively, but also attacking the rim, and playing with force. His energy and toughness dictated the intensity level for his team.

Nathan Graham - 2027 Guard Nathan Graham (@TheNateGraham20) / X

Graham played with high IQ and feel. He made the extra pass, spaced correctly, and understood when to attack versus when to move it. His decision‑making and steadiness helped keep the offense flowing. He operated as a connect‑the‑dots playmaker and a high-clip scorer going for back-to-back 30-point games, keeping the offense churning.

Daryl Stanfield - 2027 Guard (1) Daryl 🔆 (@DarylStanfield1) / X

Stanfield showed real burst getting downhill and created advantages with his first step. He made plays in transition, applied pressure to the defense, and flashed upside as a guard who can both score and facilitate. He played as a playmaker who could break down defenses and flash in transition. As he continues to refine his reads, he becomes a mix of both roles.
