Sunday morning Prep Hoops checked out Brad Beal Elite in St. Louis as we took in practices from the 15U, 16U, and 17U teams. Here were the 5 prospects that made the biggest impression on us.

Emurion Jackson (East St. Louis – 2029)

Jackson is emerging as one of the premier two way athletes in the state. He showcased it the last three weekends two with hoops and one in football. As a basketball player he emerged late in the year for the Flyers including a big showing in the state semis. In their 15U practice the 6'4” wing put on a show on both ends of the floor. His ability to impact defensively being disruptive really stood out. Moves his feet extremely well laterally and is a high level perimeter defender. Offensively he is a slick ball handler that can get downhill to the rack and made several outstanding passes off live dribbles which led to buckets.

Majok Mayuen Ater (Principia, MO – 2029)

The Principia big man flashed in limited minutes as a freshman, but is primed to breakout nationally this spring/summer. Bouncy 6'9” five man who plays with a really high-motor. Explosive finisher around the cup that is super quick off the floor and snatches rebounds with ferocity. Even in this setting his energy stood out!

Devin Cleveland (La Lumiere, IN – 2027)

Cleveland joins BBE and will be one of their go to players on the 17U level. His length defensively made an impression on us as he was disruptive at the point of attack creating turnovers. Offensively his continued growth as a passer showed through in ball screen decision making hitting pick/rolls along with shooters and cutters. We already know he is an elite scorer with his deep range on the three ball and ability to get to the cup.

Davis Cochran (Brentwood Academy, TN – 2027)

This was the prospect that jumped off the floor from the very beginning as a skilled and athletic four that is going to blow up this spring. At 6'10” he moves extremely well for his size being able to run the floor, face up, and impact down low. Garnered deep post position burying his defender for scores in the paint with his size while still being able to stretch the floor with his shooting with an effortless stroke. Can also go shot fake and to the rim. Competitive rebounder in traffic.

Brady Pettigrew (Bolingbrook – 2028)

Pettigrew just has that “it” factor you can't teach. Two guard with size and athleticism that mixes in a high level of skill. Creative off the bounce getting to the rack and playing above the rim. Showed flashes he is primed for a monster spring in the EYBL.
