2/6/26: Asbaty provided grit and energy early. Farragut HC J.P. Burris called a timeout the instant he witnessed Asbaty sky for an offensive rebound and putback. It was a complete breakdown in positioning and indicative of an erosion of effort by the hosting Admirals. Asbaty continues to impact games without needing shot attempts. He is a true senior with an obvious mission that aligns with Bearden's team goals.

2/6/26: [player_tooltip player_id='1477322' first='Sean' last='Capshaw'] played a normal game, rather a normal [player_tooltip player_id='1477322' first='Sean' last='Capshaw'] game which is District MVP. Capshaw hit outside shots and defended his position. With this Bearden team he does not need to be a hero. The team succeeds without relying too heavily on any one person. Capshaw played well and Bearden played excellent in once again crushing Farragut.

2/9/26: Starting center for McGavock, a team largely devoid of size. Blocked a floater very early. Seevers is not all that agile for a 6-foot-4/6-foot-5 dude, but he is pivotal for McGavock. They need him. With him they still are tiny by 4A standards. Without them are not even competitive because the defense of the rim becomes horrific. Seevers needs to develop a little more explosivity vertically. There is something worth tracking in his game. He has some nice strength.

2/7/26: Holman must become a better rebounder. He has the agility and athleticism to get there, but averaging 2.0 rpg right now is unacceptable. Holman plays with more effort on offense and hunts buckets like a typical young player. Thanks to his experience and creativity he does create problems for defenders. Still, Holman's game is quite raw. If he gets in the gym during the off-season, then he could ascend to fringe All-District territory by next winter.

2/7/26: Tremendous offensive awareness. Brayden obliterated McGavock's zone by changing the point of attack via the pass. He understood spacing. He understood angles. While Overton was going to win no matter what, Brayden was the best player in the first quarter when the game was still competitive. Doss did not turn the ball over. Big-picture he is probably average athletically for a college-bound guard though above average for the typical 4A point guard. What Doss needs in the coming year is a consistent three-point shot. He did not take any in the early going against McGavock, so the skill was not apparent. Adding this skill will make his game a true triple threat. He can drive a bit and pass at an elite level. Better defenses might sell out on the passing lanes and disrespect his shooting range. Improving that aspect will keep them more honest. Very physically strong.
