Small Schools Big Time Scorers (Part 2)

We're taking a deep dive into some of the smaller schools in the state, looking at standout scorers who are putting up big numbers this season. Here's part two of the top scorers in smaller schools across the state of VA!   [player_tooltip player_id='2309973' first='Kobe' last='Morrison'] | 6'2” CG | GW Danville 2026   Morrison was an All State selection last season at GW Danville, and this year he's making a case for State Player of the Year with the numbers he's been putting up at 22.1 points per game. The 6'2” lefty is a pure bucket getter as he can create space and make shots off of stepbacks in the midrange, he can drill it from deep off the catch and off the bounce, and he changes speeds well and is very good at drawing and finishing through contact with his strength.   Josh Wingfield | 6'5” SF | Carlisle 2026   Wingfield has been the go-to guy on the new look Carlisle team this season, as he's averaging 20.4 points per game for them this year. The 6'5” wing has great size and uses it to get downhill and finish through contact, he can post smaller defenders and finish in the paint, he can knock it down from deep off the catch, and he is very good in transition too.   Courtland Reiter | 6'7” PF | Summit Christian Academy 2027   Reiter is quietly becoming a prospect to watch out for in the Peninsula area, as he's been absolute dominant this season averaging a double-double of 23.2 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. He's a player who understands his game as a sealer and finisher in the paint over both shoulders, he can get above the rim and finish with authority, he is a very good offensive rebounder, and he's jumped 12 points per game from last year showing he's only getting better moving forward.   Bryce Harris | 6'0” CG | Denbigh Baptist Christian 2027   Harris is another small school standout on the Peninsula in Newport News, as the 6'0” guard has been putting up consistent scoring numbers dropping 22.2 points per game on efficient shooting splits as well. He's a quick and twitchy guard who can use his handle to break down defenders, he makes shots from deep and gets to spots in the midrange, he is great in transition with his speed and finishing ability, and he has a knack for being able to take over games when he gets it going.   Graham Sledd | 6'3” SF | Kenston Forest 2027   Sledd has quietly emerged as a player to watch out for in the southern part of the state, as he's been filling it up at Kenston Forest to the tune of 20.4 points per game so far this season. At 6'3” he's an aggressive downhill attacker off the bounce and can finish through contact, he gets to spots in the midrange and makes tough contested shots off the bounce, he's dynamite in transition, and he gets to the line often as well.   [player_tooltip player_id='2085879' first='Bryce' last='Giles'] | 6'3” PF | Nelson County 2027   Giles was an All State performer last year for Nelson County, and he continues to get better and better and is filling it up to the tune of 19.5 points per game this season. The 6'3” forward is a walking mismatch as he's a strong finisher in the paint with both hands, he can stretch the floor and knock it down from deep, he has a great face up and midrange game, and he is a good offensive rebounder for easy buckets as well.   Jasheem Collins | 6'1” CG | Northampton 2028   Following a solid freshman season last year, Collins has been lighting it up for Northampton this year averaging 20.2 points per game and looking every bit like a prospect in the making. The 6'1” combo is a super athlete with great speed in transition and the ability to get above the rim, he can break defenders down in isolation or in ball screens to put pressure on the defense, he can create space and knock down shots from multiple levels, and he jumps passing lanes for easy buckets as well.
