Region 1: Standout Seasons from the Perimeter

Instead, it highlights players who consistently pose a threat from behind the arc and are putting together strong seasons shooting it from deep. For some, the three-point shot is a primary weapon; for others, it's a second or third option within the flow of the offense. Either way, their production from downtown has made an impact. Here's a look at some of the most impressive perimeter seasons in the First Region: </blockquote>    Zayden Kinney ranks among the state's best at 2.9 three-pointers per game and is shooting an elite 43.6% from deep (41-for-94) on the season. He's delivered several standout performances, including a 25-point outing on December 6 against Lake County (Tennessee) where he went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc. Kinney opened the season with another 25-point effort in Fulton County's first game, drilling 7 of 10 triples against Mayfield.     Neyland Jezik is producing at a statewide-notable rate of 2.9 three-pointers per game, shooting an efficient 39.9% from deep with 55 triples already this season. A lethal corner shooter, Jezik is consistently shot-ready, getting to his spots, creating separation, and presenting his hands prepared to catch and fire. His size makes his shot difficult to contest, and when he finds a rhythm, he's the type of shooter who can heat up in a hurry.     Bradon DeJarnatt has knocked down 60 of his 161 three-point attempts this season, shooting 37.3% from downtown while averaging 2.9 makes per game. A shooter with range all over the floor, DeJarnatt steps confidently into his shot and is especially dangerous in the corner, where he's consistently shot-ready with his hands up and prepared to catch and fire. He runs hard to his spots, creating maximum separation from defenders and getting his shot off on time.     [player_tooltip player_id='2859787' first='Jonah' last='Anderson'] is drilling exactly two triples per game and has knocked down 42 on the year while shooting 35.6% from beyond the arc. Anderson is especially effective from the wing and the corner, consistently finding his spots in transition. His quick trigger keeps defenses on their heels, opening up the offense and creating space for teammates, as defenders rarely have time to recover before the shot is already in the air.     Elijah Grigg is one of the most prolific scorers in Region 1 history, and his range extends well beyond the arc. The left-hander ranks top 50 in the state at 2.9 three-pointers per game, shooting 36.1% from deep while knocking down 57 triples on the season. Grigg's ability to stretch the floor makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the court. Byrd plays with clear confidence in his shot, showing the ability to step well beyond the arc and still convert. He's quick to catch and get into his release, and he uses his handle effectively to create separation, allowing him to consistently find clean looks from the perimeter.     Peyton Weatherford has knocked down 44 of his 135 three-point attempts this season, averaging 2.4 makes per game from deep. He shoots the ball with solid, repeatable form, keeping the release high and eliminating unnecessary dip that allows defenders to close space. Weatherford elevates straight up through his shot, giving him consistency and making his jumper tougher to contest.
