Bryce Lowenbach 6'9" | PF/SF | 2026
OR

One of the most unique prospects to come out of Oregon in the last decade has to be [player_tooltip player_id='2747514' first='Bryce' last='Lowenbach'], a 6'9 forward from Crook County High School in Prineville. Lowenbach's unique mix of height & skilled has fueled the Cowboys to a 21-1 start and the #1 spot in the OSAA 5A computer poll. We caught up with Lowenbach to see what's new with his recruiting & how he & his team have adjusted to moving up a classification this season. On top of his team's success, Lowenbach's stats have put him squarely in the race for 5A state player of the year with averages of 24 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, & 2.5 blocks a game.

"This season has been great so far, we've adjusted to 5A competition really well. It has been fun being in the same league as the Bend & Redmond schools & competing against guys we've played against growing up." "Our goal is to win these last two games so that we have a good chance to enter the playoffs as the #1 overall seed. There are a lot of good teams at 5A this year, like Parkrose and West Albany, but getting the one seed would be a cool accomplishment."

When asked for an update on his recruiting, Lowenbach mentioned that he's hearing regularly from D2's from throughout the west coast, including Western Oregon (offer), Cal State San Marcos, and recently Alaska Anchorage. In addition, several Big Sky schools stay in contact including Idaho State & Northern Colorado. In state NAIA power OIT has also offered a scholarship. "It's great hearing from so many schools, it's still a little early for D1 & D2 programs to know exactly what they are wanting to do, so I'm just trying to be patient, play to the best of my abilities, & the rest will take care of itself."

Scouts Take: Lowenbach is a unicorn on the offensive end of the floor, he possesses the ability to score both inside & out, handles the ball extremely well for his size, & is a gifted passer. On defense he uses his length to alter shots & anchor his team's defense. He still has a lot of room for growth as he continues to get stronger in the weight room. His best basketball is against him & we anticipate him having a very good college career.
