The anticipation was high, and last night, the playoffs officially kicked off. We're taking a look at some of the players who truly shined and are now poised to advance to the next stage of competition. Here are a few of the standouts from Round 1:

Micha Fairbanks, Mountain View

Fairbanks has been solid from beyond the arc, and although he only hit 2 from beyond the arc in the 1st Round, he is a player who could come in clutch when Mountain View needs buckets. His shooting ability is something that they will need. He had 12 points in a 20-point win, but he was a standout out there on the floor. The senior guard stands at 6'4, and that size on the wing comes in handy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400411' first='Stockton' last='Hansen'], Ridgeline

The 6'3 junior was great for Ridgeline as he had 16 points. Hansen was able to use the long ball to help his team in this tough battle. Ridgeline has some balanced scoring, and this time around, Hansen was the top scorer. He's a player that will be on the rise as a junior and he has one more game to try and keep the season rolling for Ridgeline.

[player_tooltip player_id='1614839' first='Aymen' last='Ismail'], Judge Memorial

Do not look now, but is Judge Memorial peaking at the right time? That might be the case, as [player_tooltip player_id='1614839' first='Aymen' last='Ismail'] was outstanding last night. He had a game-high 26 points and excelled from beyond the arc, scoring frequently from deep. Ismail hit 6 three-pointers and was a key difference-maker. Judge Memorial jumped out to a significant lead, and with Ismail shooting the ball so well, it truly sealed the 18-point victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='2844484' first='Issaiah' last='Thompson'], Snow Canyon

Thompson was huge in the win as Snow Canyon was able to fight off a comeback. Thompson was really good in this win as he had 21 points to go along with 6 rebounds. The junior SF/W is a player to watch rise in the Class of 2027. He has had a few good games, and today he picked the right day to have a career night.

Gavin Erickson, Green Canyon

Green Canyon is a good team, and when they can get a career night from 5'11 PG Gavin Erickson, good things are going to happen. The crafty guard went off for a career-high 28 points. The senior guard was left open too many times and he made the opposing team pay, advancing his team to the next round.

[player_tooltip player_id='1966069' first='Jaxen' last='McCuistion'], Timpanogos

The ultra-skilled guard was sharp and precise last night in a big 40+ point win. Despite limited minutes, he found a way to score 23 points, leaving the opposing team without an answer. McCuistion is a dangerous player with the ability to take over and beat any team in the classification during these playoffs. Stay tuned!

[player_tooltip player_id='1439714' first='Isaiah' last='Beh'], Murray

Beh might be having the quietest season, but he might also be the player who has quietly racked up over 1,000 points, and he was the catalyst that helped Murray get to the next round. Beh has an inside/outside game and was able to do his thing. Beh has a college frame and has that D2/NAIA skill set right off the bat.

[player_tooltip player_id='2450656' first='Oscar' last='Keegan'], East

Keegan was great last night as he continues to build his resume and is likely to be among the very few who can rack up D1 offers in both basketball and lacrosse. Keegan had 23 points and was able to connect from beyond the arc once. He is getting stronger, and at 6'7, he might have an inch or two to grow.
