The Eagles inbounded the balla t midcourt. The log pass ricocheted to Hernandez about 12 feet from the basket just outside the lane and he drilled the shot. The Bulldogs had just taken a 63-61 lead with seconds remaining on a offensive putback. The ball was inbounded to Mestas, who dribbled twice before launching his half-court heave. Portales players and fand poured out onto the court when the shot went in.
