Kirkwood destroyed Clarksville Northeast Friday night, and Maplewood dispatched of Valor Prep. Also, Rossview defeated Clarksville High. Check out these player evaluations from those three games below.

2/20/26: Rivers played a ton in a blowout victory over Clarksville Northeast. Rivers played the part of a hard-charging guard. He played with tunnel vision. Saw where he wanted to go and go there. That Rivers was able to make such an impact in his first academic year of high school speaks to his basketball upbringing. Look for Rivers to take a big step regionally during the AAU season thanks to his poise on the ball.

2/20/26: Ter took a large step forward in the last year, as evidenced by his tremendous productivity in 2025-2026 and yet there is still much to be done. Thach is very nimble, surprisingly so at 6-foot-6+. He is very, very thin like Thon Maker once was. What Thach gives you ever night is defensive rebounding. Valor ran a 2-3 and tried to hide Thach a bit, but Maplewood easily got to him with slashers. Thach will need to adapt to foul-hunting guards because Valor Prep needs him on the floor and obviously his value decreases tremendously if he cannot play heavy minutes. TT is one to watch, for sure.

2/20/26: Repeatedly, [player_tooltip player_id='3041017' first='James' last='Davis'] drove into trouble zones and drew a foul. He proved adept at shooting free throws. Davis was uncharacteristically loose with this dribble and committed multiple turnovers in the first half. Thankfully for Maplewood they easily pulled away from Valor in that same half. Davis projects as a small college combo guard, essentially a shot-creator. MHS does not get much in the way of drive-and-kick or probing passes from Davis. Can he do that, if asked? Unclear. What he is tasked with doing is initiating and scoring. He does both very well.

2/20/26: Wow! What a tremendous prospect. Freshman Aree does not just start for Kirkwood, he produces for Kirkwood. The ceiling for Aree is quite high. He reminds of a young Shannon Brown (Michigan State/NBA). Sturdy, stocky. Strong. Nimble. Scores from the mid-range and in. Not a forward though he is taller than most young guards. Aree is good enough to be All-District at the 4A level for the next three seasons to come.

2/20/26: Tremendous scorer. JiYair's skills and potential have been well-documented here for about three years now. The guy matured into what both he and his supporters hoped all along. Rose scores any way you want. He is the most complete senior guard out of Clarksville since J.J. Wheat.
