<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In <strong>AA All-State Predictions</strong>, Prep Hoops Dakotas is stepping into the projection game — taking a swing at forecasting which players could earn All-State honors in Class AA when the season wraps. From high-level scorers and dynamic playmakers to defensive anchors, floor generals, and all-around tone setters, this year's AA field is stacked with talent making a serious impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The regular season is winding down, and the postseason is right around the corner. While nothing is official, we're making our early calls based on production, consistency, leadership, team success, and performance in the biggest moments. The numbers matter, but so does the eye test — and plenty of players have built strong cases.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That said, we reserve the right to adjust as the season closes. A player could catch fire down the stretch, surge late in the regular season, or put together a monster run in the EDC or WDA Tournament that changes the conversation entirely.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For now, here are our early projections for the names we believe are trending toward AA All-State recognition when it's all said and done.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"small"} --> <p class="has-small-font-size"><strong>This one is for the readers.....<span style="text-decoration: underline">What truly makes a basketball player All-State</span>? <span style="text-decoration: underline">Is it about winning above all else</span>? Do team records and deep postseason runs carry the most weight? Or should individual production take center stage? And how important are points per game in your evaluation? Does a high PPG automatically elevate a player, or does it need context — efficiency, role, pace, and competition? <span style="text-decoration: underline">How much do raw numbers matter compared to efficiency</span>? <span style="text-decoration: underline">Are you focused strictly on totals, or do shooting percentages and overall efficiency tell the better story</span>? And what about strength of schedule? How much weight should that carry? Some squads may have loaded up on lighter non-conference opponents and seen stats climb. Others battled through a gauntlet night after night against top-tier competition. Does the level of opposition matter when evaluating production? <span style="text-decoration: underline">Then there are the other categories — rebounding, assists, defensive impact, toughness, leadership. Do those pieces carry the same value as scoring</span>? Does effort show up enough in the conversation? And when the lights are brightest, how much stock do you put into performance in big moments? Who makes the clutch plays? <span style="text-decoration: underline">Who elevates their team when it matters most</span>?
