<p>As the postseason begins this upcoming week, Prep Hoops Missouri will take a look at a few of the district tournaments around the state that have loaded fields.</p>

<p>One of the deepest tournament fields is the Class 2, District 3 tournament, which will be held at Bloomfield. There are five teams that have winning records, led by No. 1 seed Puxico, who has a 25-1 record.</p>

<p>Puxico is followed by No. 2 seed Bernie (18-8), No. 3 seed Charleston (15-9), No. 4 Chaffee (19-6) and No. 5 Advance (14-11). Charleston is entering the districts on a nine-game winning streak. Puxico is ranked No. 1 in the MBCA Class 2 state poll while Charleston is No. 6 with Bernie receiving votes.</p>

<p>PLAYERS TO WATCH</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2539650' first='Landan' last='Burchard'] (Puxico): The 5'10" 2026 point guard followed up on an All-State junior season with a brilliant senior campaign. One of the biggest highlights of the season was his 50-point performance in a victory over Bernie. He is a difficult player to guard because his quickness and ability to handle the ball and create a shot in any situation. He can also light it up from 3-point range if given enough space.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2843261' first='Jett' last='Hancock'] (Puxico): The 6'0" 2026 guard is the other half of Puxico's very talented backcourt. He is an energizer bunny who brings it all the time at both ends of the court. He can hit 3-pointers on one end and scrap for rebounds at the other end from his guard position. He recently surpassed the 1,000 point plateau during his excellent career.</p>

<p>John Aycock (Bernie): The 6'5" 2027 forward is one of the top small school bigs in the SEMO area. He is a physical post player who can establish his position and hold it very well to score inside. He also screens well to get his teammates open. He is also a strong rebounder who can also have a defensive presence as a shot blocker. He is a threat to have a double-double each time he steps on the floor.</p>

<p>Trenez Lane (Charleston): A 5'9" 2027 guard who is one of the top players in the SEMO Conference. He has good quickness to beat defenders on the straight line drive into the lane and he can shoot it well enough from 3-point range to keep them honest. He is averaging 17 points, three rebounds and three steals a game while making 33 3-pointers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2388339' first='Treshaun' last='Schandon'] (Charleston): A 6'0" 2027 guard who is a solidly built player who can excel around the basket with his strength and also operate on the perimeter. He is currently averaging 13 points and nine rebounds a game while shooting 36 percent from 3-point range.</p>

<p>Dane McMullen (Chaffee): A 5'11" 2027 southpaw guard who is a talented offensive player who can get buckets at all three levels. He has shooting range that extends well beyond the 3-point line and he can also go on the attack and maneuver in the lane for buckets in traffic. He also has good speed to accelerate in the open court and get transition baskets.</p>

<p>Cane Hobgood (Bernie): A talented 2027 guard who is a has a smooth perimeter stroke from 3-point range. When he is on his game, he can put up the points in bunches. He had a 21-point half in a game this season.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2712605' first='Nolan' last='Fowler'] (Chaffee): A 6'3" 2027 guard who is a versatile offensive threat. He is a talented scorer who creates well for himself as well as his teammates. He is an effective slasher to plays at his own pace and is difficult to speed up. He does an excellent job of facilitating offense as he can see over the defense with his height.</p>

<p>Brodie Rodgers (Advance): A 6'5" 2027 forward who is one of the top small school bigs in the SEMO area. He can impact the game in a variety of ways with his size and versatile skill set. He uses his height to score effectively around the basket. He will also step out and knock down 3-pointers off the catch. He can also rebound and block shots very well.</p>
