Here are some new names in Class AA basketball that have helped their teams in a big way this season and are prospects for colleges to get to know. A first batch of AA players.

[player_tooltip player_id='2827220' first='Bakster' last='Arendt'] of Zumbrota-Mazeppa (6'3). Bakster is the third leading scorer for ZM, a leader on the team that defends, moves the ball, and makes the plays that lead to winning. Good size at guard, handles it well, and is a good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='3526451' first='Gideon' last='Boerema'] of Litchfield (6'5). One of the better stories I have come across this season has been Gideon Borema, a long shooter that was a solid role player last year but has moved into the go-to scorer role for a team that is 14-12. A team that was seven games under .500 last year and will be over that this year, and they have a chance to win at least two or three more games. Boerema is giving his team almost 19 points a game and has the potential for a college future.

[player_tooltip player_id='3526212' first='Gedion' last='Errthum'] of Winona Cotter (6'1). Cotter is a balanced team and a surprising team this season. A big reason for that is playmaker and top scorer [player_tooltip player_id='3526212' first='Gedion' last='Errthum']. One of the hardest working players out there who has really grown. A guy who can now be looked at by local schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='2841055' first='Tyson' last='Grove'] of Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (6'2). Grove is a shooter and right now he's the second leading scorer for the best team in Class AA basketball. Grove has good size at 6'2/6'3 and he is a 40 percent plus three point shooter that D3 schools will look at, but in the moment he is a shooter on a team going for a title.

[player_tooltip player_id='3526253' first='Jack' last='Schreiber'] of Plainview/Elgin-Millville (6'4). Jack is a multi-time all league player that plays with strength and is giving his team 18 points per game. Jack is grabbing eight rebounds a contest and has helped PEM be a tough team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2824037' first='Aaron' last='Stemper'] of Caledonia (6'1). Stemper is a guard that has gone from a small role with Caledonia last season to stepping into a much bigger role with the Warriors this season. Stemper has become a better shooter and he can play both guard spots. Aaron scored eight threes for a 32 point win over a good Cotter team.
