Welcome to Wednesday Film Room, a weekly breakdown highlighting five standout performers from a single matchup. Each edition digs into the plays, moments, and statistics that allowed these players to leave their mark. It's a chance to dive into the film and spotlight the efforts that shaped the outcome. This week I went with Day 3 of the Lakelands FCA Holiday Tournament, which featured McCormick vs Ware Shoals, Dixie vs Crescent, Greenwood Christian vs Emerald, and Greenwood vs Abbeville, courtesy of the Lakelands Sports Network, which broadcasted all four games on their YouTube Channel.

First up on the list is [player_tooltip player_id='2418911' first='Jamerion' last='Williams']. Williams was a bright spot for Abbeville in the championship game loss to Greenwood, putting up 24 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. It was a tale of two halves for Jamerion on the offense end - in the first, he was mainly a passer who looked to set his teammates up with good looks, while in the second, he took over the scoring load with 12 points in the third quarter. Williams is an excellent shooter off the dribble and has quick bursts of speed that he can use to beat the initial defender.

Another Sophomore PG who caught my eye on film is Deveuax. He has some good size for his age, which helps him do a little bit of everything on the floor. The lefty can play through contact and get to the free-throw line, make incisive passes to different areas, and finish near the rim. PJ favors a floater when in close, but he is showing signs of improving his jumper as he is getting older and more experienced. Deveaux totaled 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in the Tigers' final game.

One of the new names I learned from this week's Film Room is [player_tooltip player_id='3317974' first='Ja'Keivius' last='Purdy']. Purdy played well beyond his years in McCormick's win over Ware Shoals, dominating the game for 16 points, 21 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. That was the day's only double-double, and by far the biggest rebounding effort of any player. Ja'Keivius clearly wanted it more than most players on the floor, frequently punishing weaker defense by taking the ball straight to the basket off the dribble. However, he is also a willing passer and a few great looks that didn't result in made shots.

This was my first look at Justin since he made the move from Abbeville to Dixie this offseason, and he didn't disappoint. Rollinson had a monster scoring game in the 5th-place win, racking up 27 points. Most of it came off drives to the rim, where he had to finish around or through contact, but Justin also had a stretch of mid-range jumpers where he carved up the opposing 2-3 zone. Rollinson was also very effective on the glass and forcing turnovers in the Hornets' full-court pressure, tallying 8 rebounds and 4 steals to go up with the big offensive day.

[player_tooltip player_id='3317980' first='Jaali' last='Davis'] rounds out the list. He might not be one of the flashier players on the Greenwood roster, but he was as important as anyone in their comeback win over Abbeville in the Lakelands FCA Tournament Championship Game. Davis took three charges in the game, including a huge one down 63-62 with 2:19 to play. Jaali also had the game-tying and-1 with 0:25 left in the game, before the Eagles took the lead as time expired. Davis is as gritty as they come and will be a crucial player to Greenwood's success the rest of the season.
