WBCA/Prep Hoops Poll for week of January 19
No changes this week in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association/Prep Hoops Wisconsin boys' basketball poll in terms of the top-ranked teams in each of the five divisions.
Nationally ranked Wisconsin Lutheran continued its domination of state opponents with convincing victories over a pair of solid teams as the Vikings turned back Arrowhead 76-43 and then went on the road to beat Brookfield Central 83-58. The Vikings are now 13-0 on the season and have won 71 of their past 73 games going back two-plus seasons.
Second-ranked West Allis Central, which is in the same sectional as Wisconsin Lutheran, posted three wins last week to move to 12-1 on the campaign. Many feel the Bulldogs might be the one team that could push Wisconsin Lutheran should the two meet in the playoffs.
Division 2 has the same leader -- unbeaten Onalaska -- but welcomes three newcomers to the top 10 in No. 8 McFarland (11-1), No. 9 Whitefish Bay (11-3) and No. 10 New Berlin West (11-2).
Seymour continues to egde out Freedom for the top spot in Division 3. Both teams are in the same sectional and could potentially meet in a sectional semifinal contest.

, garnered unanimous support as the No. 1 squad in Division 4.
Sheboygan Lutheran lost a Big East South game to Oostburg, ranked sixth in Division 3, but nonetheless stayed on top in Division 5. Kickapoo moved into the second spot as the unbeaten Panthers upended North Crawford 85-80 in overtime last week.
