February is only 10 days away, meaning county and state tournaments are set to start soon. South Jersey Group 1 is full of intrigue as the backcourt play has the opportunity to light up the scoreboard during the postseason. Here are the South Jersey Group 1 guards who could have big Februaries.

[player_tooltip player_id='2980793' first='Devin' last='Williams'], 6'2 SG Woodbury 2027

Williams led the Thundering Herd to a sectional title last season and is looking to do it again in 2025-26. The 6'2 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Williams is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the lane off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. He moves well without the ball in his hands and gets deflections on the defensive end. Williams is a sharpshooting guard prospect whose ability to stretch the floor will help Woodbury make another deep postseason run this year.

Nate Keating, 6'1 SG Haddon Township 2026

Keating and [player_tooltip player_id='2440538' first='Axel' last='Mohr'] have helped the Hawks to a 12-2 record this season, putting them at the top spot in the South Jersey Group 1 power points. The 6'1 guard has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and knows how to finish around the basket. Keating can also score in the mid-range and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and works hard on the defensive end. Keating is a gritty guard prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763537' first='Tymear' last='Lecator'], 6'1 PG Salem 2027

Lecator has been electric for the Rams all season and should carry over his play into the postseason. The 6'1 guard is a blur in the open floor as opponents struggle to keep him in front and can finish in a number of ways around the rim. Lecator has a good touch in the mid-range and makes opponents pay for giving him space from behind the arc. He threads passes to his open teammates in the half court and makes it tough for his man to get to his spot on the floor. Lecator is a dynamic guard prospect who should continue to make plays with the ball in his hands throughout the course of February.

Jesahi Robinson, 6'0 CG Palmyra 2026

Robinson has filled up the stat sheet for Palmyra this season and is looking to bring that type of play into February. The 6'0 guard uses his handle to get into the lane and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. Robinson sets his feet before he shoots and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is a good rebounder for a guard his size and is an underrated on-ball defender. Robinson is a versatile guard prospect who should continue to light up the boxscore this February.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919212' first='Roman' last='Gipson'], 5'10 PG Penns Grove 2026

Gipson has stepped up this season for the Red Devils as he has done a little bit of everything for them. The 5'10 guard has a nice first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes well around the basket. Gipson is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is a tough on-ball defender and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Gipson's ability to make plays on and off the ball is something that will help his stock over the next couple of weeks.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='2907130' first='Gabriel' last='Shoultz'], 6'1 PG LEAP Academy 2029

Malakhai McKenzie, CG Paulsboro 2026

Parker DeChristopher, SG Pitman 2027

Jamie Lambing, SG Burlington City 2027

Nolan Mawhinney, 6'3 SG Wildwood 2027
