SD Showdown: Sioux Falls Christian Battles West Central

Top teir talent is at a premium with standouts like Jr Combo Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2076018' first='Connor' last='Mebius'] and Senior Center [player_tooltip player_id='1919285' first='Will' last='Kuhl'] from west Central going up against Jr Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2128940' first='Brant' last='Wassenaar'] and Super Sophmore Center [player_tooltip player_id='2442383' first='Ryan' last='Dieleman'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Atmosphere was electric tonight inside the packed gymnasium. West Central started off the game by getting an early 11-3 but then the chargers came roaring back to take a 12-11 advantage and if memory serves me correctly I think it was there only lead of the entire game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Second quarter brought much of the same as the first with West Central again controlling the play and going on a 10-0 run of there own and running a nice motion offense with alot of hard cuts, making them very hard to guard and keeping the defense on there toes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Third quarter seemed like Sioux Falls finally got into a consistent groove on offense getting scoring from several different players and getting on the offensive boards a bit along with some fast break points. If [player_tooltip player_id='1545638' first='Cooper' last='Goodbary'] hadn't had to sit most the quarter in foul trouble Sioux Falls may have had a realy big quarter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fourth quarter was a dandy had a lil bit of everything both teams made there runs but were then answered by the other team. Big shots and put backs were made by multiple players on both teams, pace of that quarter was realy fun to watch and the crowd was lively. Showed a beautiful drop step hook shot for two in second quarter that is unstoppable if he wants to use that move more often. Will showed a quick first step more then once by beating his defender to the basket from 15-17ft out and finishing on both attempts. Smooth stroke from three nocking down 2, attacking the basket and getting and 1's, making freethrows he was doing it all tonight. He was the go to guy for most the game tonight and he answered the bell. Couple nice offensive rebounds and put backs for scores. Showed deep range on both his three's, had one of the nicest pull-up 17 foot jump shots ive seen all season with the defender in his face nothing but net 🔥! Footwork off the bounce in the paint playing off of two feet was text book, scoring that way as well.
