SD Class AA Matchup: Mitchell vs Sioux Falls Roosevelt

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 4-2 Mitchell Kernels (receiving votes) went on the road last night to take on the the #2 ranked 6-1 Sioux Falls Roosevelt Rough Riders. Talent was plentiful and on full display in this contest, and PrepHoops will recap the action and have player notes from this contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To start the game mitchell came out with alot of intensity on both ends and took and early lead. Mitchell dominated the paint play and rebounds for the entire first half [player_tooltip player_id='1466940' first='Colton' last='Smith'] being the catalyst in both those departments for mitchell as roosevelt had no answer for him. Roosevelt settled in on the offensive end midway through the first quarter and the spark for them was none other then [player_tooltip player_id='2137320' first='Deondre' last='Painter'] who came in off the bench and immediately nocked down a couple of three's along with bringing alot of energy! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The back and forth contest continued with the start of the second half. Roosevelt came out with a purpose though and rebounded much better which helped them outscore mitchell 15-7 in the 3rd (largest quarter point spread of the game) with over half there points coming in the paint. Roosevelts pressure was definitely taking effect also creating some turnovers leading to transition baskets.
