Palm Beach County Midseason Reports: Seniors Standouts (Part 3)

Palm Beach County's senior class has delivered an impressive first half of the season, with veteran leaders setting the tone across the area. From high level scorers and all-around playmakers to defensive anchors and clutch performers, these experienced standouts are elevating their teams and shaping the playoff picture. Here's a look at the seniors making the biggest impact as we hit the midseason mark.    The unsigned senior from Lake Worth High School is a mobile, athletic, hard playing forward. He is active around the rim, has good touch to finish in the paint and is a capable rebounder on both ends of the floor. Bewley has some touch to score in the midrange at the offensive end and can change shots in the paint at the defensive end of the floor. College coaches in search of an available big man with upside should investigate.     This senior guard for the 14-2 Scots is a pass first point guard who sees the floor very well. The WPI commit is dishing out 6.2 assists per game but can also be a scoring threat. Gerard is a creative finisher over length and athleticism and is an improving shot maker from beyond the arc.     The senior from Oxbridge Academy is a hard playing, quick guard who has an impact on the game at both ends of the floor. Offensively, he is at his best attacking the rim and in the midrange. His foot speed and ball skills give him an ability to get into the paint and create for himself or others. On the defensive end, he can guard all three perimeter positions and puts pressure on the basketball.     Reed is a long, athletic, slashing wing with great positional size. The unsigned senior can straight line drive it from the perimeter and is good enough with the ball to creating driving lines against ball pressure. Reed is an above the rim finisher and very effective in transition and open space. Continued improvement to make his perimeter shooting more consistent will make him more translatable to the college level.     Reed's teammate and fellow senior, Almahdi Dial, is a strong, left handed wing with size. He is a three level scorer with a good feel for the game. Dial is scoring over 11 points and grabbing nearly 5 rebounds per game for the 12-3 Crusaders.     The leading scorer for the Sharks at 16.5 points per game, Cleveland is a lanky, shifty, left handed scoring guard. He has a good feel for the game which is demonstrated by his ability to get to the rim. The senior is a capable open shot maker from the perimeter, but his shooting could become more of a threat. He in instinctive at the defensive end and able to make plays in the passing lanes.
