Let's take a look at some players who are truly on the rise offensively, putting together strong seasons so far — both statistically and in terms of impact — thanks to their ability to take over games and drive their teams to success. I'll break down their offensive games and highlight what they do best.

Hoffman, one of the top scorers in the state, continues to drive Bishop Seabury with his dynamic offensive package. First and foremost, Jace is a knockdown shooter — whether he's playing off the catch or pulling up off the dribble. He finds space well, gets his shot off confidently, and maintains great rhythm and flow in his stroke. He's already put together several games with multiple made threes, often showing a true heat-check mentality. Hoffman also handles the ball frequently in transition for the Seahawks, pushing the pace and creating opportunities in the open floor. He likes to attack the rim and play off two feet, combining strength and explosiveness while keeping his head up to see the floor and find teammates. He's also very adept at generating contact and playing through it, earning trips to the free-throw line and putting constant pressure on opposing defenses.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211343' first='KaeVon' last='Bonner'] | 6'4" Guard | Senior | Seaman

At this point, everyone knows what Bonner can do offensively. His all-around growth has been noticeable, and he often leads Seaman with the ball in his hands. KaeVon reads the floor at a very high level, understanding defenses and anticipating where plays will develop. With his size, he can see over defenders and deliver passes one or two steps before they happen. His vision and feel for the game open up opportunities, making him a true scorer. He can shoot from unlimited range, knocking down threes efficiently enough to force defenders to close out as soon as he crosses halfcourt. KaeVon also has a deceptive handle and change of pace, which allows him to get to the basket consistently. He plays through contact effectively, finishing with a variety of creative shots and excellent touch around the rim. On the defensive end, Bonner uses his skills to create transition opportunities, where he can finish above the rim and make plays in one-on-one situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='2796552' first='Kolt' last='Becker'] | 6'4" Wing | Sophomore | Abilene

24.7 PPG

Becker is the youngest player on this list, but you'd never know it watching him play. Kolt has been the catalyst for Abilene so far this season, showcasing a rare combination of size and skill that allows him to succeed both inside and out. He's incredibly explosive and athletic, especially in the open floor, where he can finish with aggression and flair even with defenders in his way. Offensively, he can post up smaller guards or wings and play effectively with his back to the basket. Kolt is also a reliable shooter, showing range and the ability to get his shot off quickly, often drifting or stepping into space to create open looks. He adds even more value by generating extra possessions and scoring opportunities around the basket, using his rebounding ability and knack for finding openings near the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211347' first='Gavin' last='Popik'] | 6'0" Guard | Senior | Olathe Northwest

23.2 PPG

Popik has put together several big offensive performances this season, showcasing a unique ability to take over games. Known as a slasher, he can beat defenders off the dribble and get to the basket seemingly at will, often forcing defenses to rotate and putting defenders in tough situations. He uses his body well, creating contact on finishes, which allows him to score efficiently even against bigger defenders in the paint. In transition, Gavin attacks the rim with force and sudden bursts of quickness, throwing off defenders trying to stop him. He's also a capable shooter, showing range from both mid-range and deep, and he can heat up quickly, staying aggressive and riding his hot hand — especially in big games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2979874' first='Braylen' last='Siebenmorgen'] | 6'6" Forward | Junior | Hiawatha

22.7 PPG

Perhaps a name many don't know yet is Siebenmorgen. Leading Hiawatha to a 9-1 start this season, Braylen combines a sturdy frame and good length with impressive skill. He's a true stretch forward, often stepping out to the perimeter with an effortless shooting stroke, consistently knocking down shots from distance. With a high, quick release, he can get his shot off whenever he needs to, unaffected by defenders. His size also allows him to contribute inside as a scorer, rebounder, and defender, making him a tough two-way matchup and capable of taking over games quickly. Expect to hear more from Braylen and Hiawatha as they look to make a deep run and continue powering through their schedule.

Kamden Barnett | 6'1" Guard | Junior | Fredonia

24.0 PPG

Barnett is clearly the driving force for Fredonia, making an impact all over the floor on both ends of the court. He handles the ball frequently for the Yellowjackets, creating opportunities as both a scorer and a passer, often finding teammates once the defense collapses. Kamden can shoot from the perimeter, showing a knack for finding space against different defenses and an understanding of how to navigate the floor effectively. His activity on defense also generates opportunities in transition, where he can outrun opponents or initiate contact when needed, displaying composure and focus in tight situations. His ball-handling allows him to pull up quickly and abruptly, making it difficult for defenders to contest his shot. That shooting ability also opens up other areas of his game, especially as he reads closeouts and attacks the basket with confidence.
