Top teams came to the Highland Shootout over the weekend from all over including Inglewood from California. Big time programs and prospects were in the building and Prep Hoops was there to breakdown the players that shined from all of them!

Jason Crowe Jr. (Inglewood – 2026)

The Mizzou commit became the all time leading scorer in California state history this season and is averaging well over 40 points a game. Webster Groves put their full attention on him getting into him with physicality in this game. He missed some shots early, but what we loved was how well he got his other guys going. It was the crisp passes to shooters in the pocket, hitting guys on the move, and making the right basketball play. Definitely known as a score first guy this was a nice development from the last time I saw him over the summer. He did get it going offensively as the game went along. Particularly being effective in the mid-range with pullups and using his bounce around the hoop. Big 4th quarter for Crowe who held off a Webster Groves squad that gave his team everything they wanted, but Inglewood won 77-76. Crowe's line read 28 points (11-27 FG) (2-7 3PT) (4-4 FT), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 5 turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815160' first='David' last='Conerly'] (Inglewood – 2027)

Conerly jumped off the floor to us in this game. The Inglewood wing has quality size, length, and a frame he will need to continue to add strength. Opened it up with a smooth take where he banked it in on the move. Spinning layups, got to the line, hit the offensive glass, and closed out the game with a pair of dagger threes showing a feathery stroke off the catch. Liked how he was active on the offensive glass, connective as a passer, and used his length defensively. No doubt mid-major plus guy that with a big summer should be getting Power 5 looks. He had 16 points (6-9 FG) (2-3 3PT), 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Matthew Gibbs-Martinez (Inglewood – 2026)

This was the spark plug for them when they needed some buckets in the first half. The guard off the bench hit a couple big threes and poured them in from 15 feet in the victory. Also was a force defensively creating turnovers in their pressure defense. He had 12 points (5-9 FG) (2-4 3PT) and 5 steals.

Kevin Singleton (Inglewood – 2027)

The 6'3” junior wing didn't have his best game shooting the rock going 2-10 from the field, but impacted in other ways. He was super quick to the offensive glass and was a presence on the defensive end going for 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.
