The first full weekend of 2026 was filled with exciting high school basketball action. Zac Borrego, Albuquerque Academy: Scored a team-high 17 points (9-10 FT) and grabbed 5 rebounds in a win over Gallup.   [player_tooltip player_id='2833906' first='Brody' last='Brazil'], Mountainair: Scored 22 points, draining four 3-pointers, and grabbed 4 rebounds in Mountainair's win over Quemado. Saturday, he scored 17 points in Mountainair's close win over Pine Hill. Radlee Ferguson, Elida: Scored 19 points with three 3-pointers, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 5 steals in Elida's win over Carrizozo.       Zefferino Flores, Wingate: Scored 20 points in Wingate's win over Sanders (AZ) Valley.   Eluciano Gonzales, Tularosa: Led the Wildcats with 20 points in their win over West Las Vegas. Saturday, he scored 14 points in a win over Robertson. Tularosa is 9-1.   Zander Griego, Farmington: Led the Scorpions with 12 points and 7 rebounds in a win over Los Lunas.
