Johns had 13 points and is on the radar.

Muskegon has legitimate Mr. Basketball candidate in their backcourt, but they aren't a 1 man show. Petty has been balling lately. A couple games ago, he had 18 points with a handful of rebounds and assists. Petty followed that up with an 8 point and 7 assist performance in a win against Warren Lincoln. The quick footed guard helps make Muskegon a Breslin Center threat.

Harrison was another standout player at the Always In My Bag event. He's led Ann Arbor Pioneer to a great start to January. Harrison is at his best when going north-south and can really create lanes and attack them with the ball. He plays an aggressive offensive game.

Makaya is a player that I don't really like putting a position next to, but for the sake of this article we could call him a guard or a wing. Call him whatever you want, he's putting his name on the map. His Lincoln team recently picked up a big win against Dexter and Makaya led the way with 21 points. He can score with power, athleticism and touch.

Campos has been lights out so far this season. He proven that he can both create off the bounce and shoot with terrific efficiency. Campos has been working hard on his jumper and it's been showing. He's been tough on both ends of the floor as well.

There's always great basketball going on this time of year, but we noticed something in particular - there are some guards really stepping up their games. We're going to take a look at some guards that have recently gotten the job done!
